Well, maybe... But they couldn't chop any off of the movie because it is in its final form of presentation. Where else is there to chop off/speed up time on the movie? It can't differ between the regular and IMAX beyond the "put-on-glasses-now" 3D parts.

Adam... call you're theatre (or go to it) and talk with a manager. Ask them about whether their IMAX showing of Superman will still happen at 10PM on the 27th because there is information saying that most theatres won't make that time. If they say it's still on, well, lol, then do nothing. But if they say it most likely won't happen ask them if they can move your ticket to a regular theatre or you get a rain check for a later time. Just call and talk with the manager of your theatre.

I'll talk to my manager again today or tomorrow and get an update... It might've changed by now. Maybe the studio got really ansy and pulled some strings when the "rumors" started going around about the delay. We'll see...

lol, well, damn, I'm truly sorry, I wish we had some more! I was only given the posters we had that night from the theatre and we didn't have any extras beyond that. we did give a whole lot out, so I'm sorry you guys didn't win any... :(

Good read...! Although it may damage him, I think Lady in the Water is going to be a let down. Not only have I thought about that the story has just lost any attraction of interest due to what we know from recent trailers and synopses, but the reviews (I thought) weren't that good. I read some a few weeks ago that were in essence claiming exactly what you said David - that this is one of his worst films and emphasizing that his career is going down. Although it is still quite far out, I'm skeptical. We'll see soon (July 21st)!

Ahhh... no, no, the couch technically wasn't ours. There are these guys, who've as of recent have "joined" our group, who were in #1 spot last time. They are the ones with the couches. They are big super-hero/comic book fans but not that big of Pirates fans. So they aren't going "all out" for this and are leaving it to us to take care of.

However... You can come hang out man!!! We don't have couches, but we got lots of chairs, a TV, and projector. Except the projector is only at night. We got plenty of good stuff here!!

And don't worry, I know Pirates is way bigger than Superman (already sold out all 3).

Ah sorry Angela... I had to help with trivia handing out prizes so I couldn't shoot. I only got the Pirates talk and Costume Contest people. And the birthdays! Those were unplanned! Haha... if that was you, then congrats!

Glad you enjoyed our festivities (or, I hope you did). We'll be there next year for At World's End too! :D

Haha... Thanks... Orna? Interestingly, this article isn't about "me." I tried to keep it as objective as possible. It's simply just bringing up the big movies in 2007, and why they're big and why they'll (hopefully) make for an enjoyable year.

As for Spider-Man 3, I'll admit that personally it is what I'm looking forward to the most out of anything. There's barely any details out of it yet except for one short teaser. However, I think I am not alone in saying that it probably has the most fans at this very moment... or is the most hyped in general (I mean, look here: http://movies.go.com/buzzbi....

Eric, you're one of the few (and I mean few) people out there who really just doesn't like mainstream films. A majority of the people out there at the very least are considerably excited for Spider-Man 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Shrek 3, or Transformers... and that's a guarantee.

Just because you personally don't like "big blockbuster hits" doesn't mean that these movies won't be a great compliment to a fantastic year in 2007 that will most likely ALSO have great indies, documentaries, and original stories.

In case you have missed the hundreds of comments on many other sites, including this one, about complainers and the fact that half of them are just a vocal minority compared to the real world selection of individuals.

The point is that I'm not personally excited for _every single one_ but rather that this is meant for people in general to look at and, if they want, "pick and choose" what they are excited for. And the list has a great selection of some movies that MANY agree are considerably exciting.

You are welcome to personally dislike some of these, however I implore you to look at the fact that the real majority of the movie-going population is considerably interested in a large number of these. I believe there is a reason that Spider-Man 3 will (most likely) make the most money at the box office in 2007, and it's not because it's crap, it's because there are MILLIONS of people who are excited for what may be the best installment in the Spider-Man series. (However, obviously, that is entirely up to personal opinion.)

I have a LOT of faith in New Line though. Although they're far from the top earner out of all of the movie studios, they do a good job with what they have. I like their strategies. Snakes on a Plane is a bad example of an unfortunate "flop" but I still think New Line is one of the better distributors out there. That's why I'd wish The Hobbit was with them!

That's actually a good point WIll. I was thinking the same... the LOTR and Hobbit universe is pretty vast, given all that Tolkein has written and created. And even now there are still more books coming out (the news about that one edited by his son).

In the same way that the LOTR game for PC did (Battle for Middle Earth 2), it used/added various "creatures" and things from the "LOTR universe" taken from Tolkeins writings, and I think that's the perfect thing to do. And I'm glad you've emphasized that is really what is likely to happen as opposed to Jackson creating things out of his own mind. That's why I made that point... I have faith that he wouldn't just pull stuff out of his ass, and would rather really research the LOTR/Hobbit universe much further to take these elements and create a longer story for 2 movies.

As much as I love Besson, Kill Bill was fantastic without him. Some may say Tarantino is pompous, but Kill Bill both 1 and 2 were some of the most incredible movies I've ever seen. They can't be matched or equaled and... I'd be worried if Besson would've done them. He has plenty other stuff he can do that is as good as Kill Bill!

Nah, it's not too bad. I think, maybe... it would be alright for children that young. It is PG-13. It has lots of violence (a lot of people get shot down) and some swearing, but no sex really. You have to understand that it's designed for ages 13+, so it's all your own choice to take them.

Certainly so! Which is why I wanted to showcase it... It looks like to be a much more powerful story with, as you said, more than just football. It is one of my most anticipated movies in the next few months (to the end of 2006). I really hope people do go out to see it.
