I've been every year so far. Here's my info. We're bringing a group of 10 from our church.

blog: http://www.faithengineer.com
twitter: http://twitter.com/faitheng...
facebook: http://facebook.com/faithen...

Re: Sunday Wrap-Up

That's definitely in our plans. I wish we had some teens that hang out there, but currently we don't. I think the best way to reach out to the group is from within. Let me know if you know any Christian teens that would be up for the challenge.

But we still want to do some cool stuff. We have talked about bringing in a professional skateboarder and also doing free pizza from time to time. It will take some time for us to earn their trust. Our Saturday night service would be a great fit for them and so would our youth meetings on Sunday night. As it warms it, we'll even try to meet some outside.

I would love for someone to step up and head up an outreach to the park. The opportunities excite me!

Re: Blog Trouble

It's official now - no more blogger. I made the switch today to a new and redesigned site using wordpress. I am hosting all the images now, so that will eliminate most of the problems I was having.

Re: Guys, do you want a new marriage?

You make it easy - love ya

Re: Blog Trouble

seems to be working now - some of the graphics are hosted at a site I don't control. When the image hosting site goes down, then all of my graphics don't load. I'll be working on a fix to prevent it from happening in the future

Re: Connected but not committed

I agree, we should really slow down to take time and meditate on what we read, but I also think it's good to read through larger portions of Scripture at times. Typically, I try to spend time just in devotional reading, where I'm gaining a bigger picture of the context and story of the Bible, and then I slow down and spend time in deeper study where I'm doing the tougher work of interpreting and applying the Scripture to my life. It is amazing how Scripture can challenge us and change us as we learn and apply God's Word to our lives. thanks for the comments

Re: Two New CD's For Your Listening Enjoyment

thanks for catching that - I changed my twitter password a while back and twitterfeed quit working. I have been researching the different pocket cams and i finally bought a Kodak last week and I am loving it. It came down to the flip minoHD, the Creative VadoHD, and the Kodak Zi6. Out of those three, I think the Zi6 has the best features and the cheapest price. The flip definitely has a much "cooler" vibe to it, and the software is much better, but the Zi6 has some neat features. It can record in 60 fps, it has vga recording and picture taking capability, it uses AA batteries, it records to flash cards, and it has a macro switch for close up recording. I like the fact that you can record for longer periods of time without dumping video back off to the computer. They are all cool, and with facebook, youtube, and vimeo all now offering HD video uploading, they are a great way to share videos online.

Here's a link to the sites I used in comparing the video cams
Shooting HighDef Video on a Budget

Re: Any Clues???

It looks like pointy - http://www.dafont.com/searc...

Check out http://www.dafont.com if you need one even closer

Re: Shooting HighDef Video on a Budget

That's a sweet camcorder as well. I really like the flash memory based ones. It makes it so much quicker to import and edit the footage.

Re: Great Post on the Election and Fear

Mark posted a follow-up to this at http://www.planetwisdom.com...

Again, I highly recommend checking it out. I am in full agreement with his thoughts on the election. Neither party truly represents what it means to live in the kingdom of God.

Re: Joshua Plays His iPhone

If only iphones worked in the middle of nowhere. There is no AT&T reception within 10 miles of my house, so I'm stuck with US Cellular.

As for the disqus comments, I recently switched on my blog and I really like it so far. It's a huge huge step up from the built-in blogger commenting system.

Re: New Comments on FaithEngineer

Welcome From Mike

Re: Test Post

Seesmic video reply from Disqus.

Re: Test Post

so far, so good - I wanted embedded comments and this looks like it will work with my template.

Re: Test Post

test comment #1 - by yours truly
