Way-to-go! I believe in following an ethical leader, which is what you are. As you said, all it takes for evil to succeed is for good people to be silent.

Unfortunately my teachers were not educators, so none left an impact on my life (besides which I moved from country to country and from school to school in my younger days). I thought school was about learning academic facts (and I excelled at that!).

One of my defining moments came through Personal Development in network marketing: the education system in our (western) countries has to change and I aspire to be part of that change....after I master network marketing and achieve my total freedom. I'd really like to contribute (with a team of ethical leaders) to the creation of the School of Life.

Re: NMPRO #174 – Dan McCormick Interview 4 of 4

Thx for this excellent series with Dan. I love his use of language, being a language teacher myself. Responsibility = ability to respond. He is unique, sticks to his principles, and leads by personal example. No wonder he has achieved his extraordinary goals, and continues to strive higher.
About spreading the word - most of the presentations are on my FB/Twitter account. Just another habit - watch presentation - answer QOTD - and tweet...almost every day.
Have a great weekend. Look forward to next week.

Re: NMPRO #171 – Dan McCormick Interview 1 of 4

Great tool, Eric. In our business time is of utmost importance. You can't continue spending so much time actually traveling all over the world to meet people for interviews. I spent my first years in MLM chasing customers, giving a too-personalized, pampering service. You don't create a fortune that way.
I think the quality of the previous system is better, but skype does the work. Our business is work-from(the-comfort-of-your-)home. This is a great way to continue NMPro. Thanks.

Re: NMPRO #170 – The Not So Friendly Skies

Hi Eric, thanks for speaking to this specific group of which I'm part. It's bigger than only airline people. This group includes hotel owners and workers, tour guides and drivers, travel agents, restaurant owners and workers. Some of these people are not only over-worked and under-paid. In my experience there are some who don't even get a salary and are totally dependent on tips and commissions for their livelyhood.

We get to meet and interact with new people every day - what better platform does one have for network marketing? My challenge is that, at least in my capacity of independent tour operator, there is no fixed schedule - so it's impossible to plan. You need to be available 24/7 and you need to do most of the work yourself. Then, as Jim Rohn says - you can make a living - but definitely not a fortune. And actually - you have no life.

I enjoy working in the travel business, but realize that network marketing is the only possibility for me to escape the hampster-wheel.

Thanks again for the insight. You're great!

Re: NMPRO #168 – Say Yes To YOU!

I can't explain how it is that I grew up in a society that called itself "egalitarian" where people worked but earned no money and received only their basic needs and yet.... I've always loved myself, encouraged by my parents, and always believed I could achieve whatever I wanted in life. This does not contradict my love and caring for others. I've known from an early age, as Jim Rohn teaches, that I need to care for myself if I want to take care of others.
Therefore: there's no contradiction between being selfish, fulfilling your needs on the one hand, and giving to others, on the other. In fact, that's the only way you can give whole-heartedly and not because that's what society expects.
Thank you, Eric (and Randy) for giving us this insight.

Re: NMPRO #165 – How to let go of your past and celebrate your life

Thanks very much for this. Anything that brings insight and causes a paradigm shift is tremendously important for our personal development. I could certainly identify with the relationship situation - Women from Venus, men from Mars, and never the twain shall meet! So you need insight to live with this situation and no one does it better than Tony Robbins.

And, of course, the transformation of that woman...wow - took 15 years off of her life! Shows you how our inside and out are so connected. I downloaded it and will use it when training my team - rest assured.

Re: NMPRO #167 – My Number ONE Job

It tends to rain here in the Netherlands as well. Next week - follow-up is great. It's another of my weak points - I'll hand out tools to 10-15 people and then procrastinate with the follow-up. I'm sure this topic will be of great help to many. Thanks again and have a super weekend.

Re: NMPRO #160 – Prospecting Power

Hi Enrique62,
Thanks for your comment. If you know her well, perhaps let her talk a bit about her frustrations, and then, as Eric suggested, compliment her and say you've found something really exciting (that might help) and..."If I gave you this magazine would you read it?...etc" I wish you success with all your prospects.

Re: NMPRO #160 – Prospecting Power

QOTD: Are you kidding? So when I talk to a shop owner (5000 small businesses went bankcrupt in NL last month) or worker, I'll first compliment them on their shop, or window arrangement. That's a big help. I'll use it starting tomorrow and share results on NMPro.

Re: NMPRO #160 – Prospecting Power

Thanks for getting us into action. Could you also give me a sentence or 2 to introduce this line of questioning? I feel that when talking to strangers these questions appear too forward - impolite, in fact. The questions are excellent and I'm sure the system works. I just feel they need to be presented in a softer manner, so as not to cause people to close up.

Re: NMPRO #155 – Gary Vaynerchuk Interview 1 of 4

So we are like-minded, Yendi. We must first believe in ourselves. Personal Development is a huge part of MLM, business and life in general. As a language teacher I know the value of words. I feel those words are misleading - self-confidence - yes - conning others into believing you are that which you are not - definitely no.
I appreciate your enthusiasm.

Re: NMPRO #155 – Gary Vaynerchuk Interview 1 of 4

The que is authenticity versus "fake it till you make it". I always felt uncomfortable with this concept, which was encouraged when I first discovered MLM. As an individual I have so much to offer, why shouldn't I be myself? I was raised to be sensitive to other people's attitudes and wishes. By opposing them I feel I'm putting myself up for rejection and building myself a negative reputation. I understand my wording and attitude are very important when I say: "I'm not buying your story". How can I say this without causing a negative feeling in my prospect? Without offending them?

On the other hand, if I can eventually get it through my head that "we have a better way" and by NOT introducing them to it I'm actually depriving them of the great life they can have - I will eventually develop the posture of "I'm not buying your story" - because it's really only a bunch of excuses!

Re: NMPRO #151 – We Have a BETTER Way!

Very powerful, no-nonsense words, Eric.
