Exactly. I don't know how true it is, but I recall a story about guns & Israel. Supposedly the Israeli government mandated it's citizens to carry concealed in order to deter Palestinian gunmen that were going on shooting sprees. Once the terrorists realized that things weren't going their way, they started to resort to suicide bombers. How true this is, I don't know. But it sounds good. ;)

You are totally correct. They had a pitiful season up to the SEC schedule. If they hadn't lost half of those, there would be no question on whether they would be in the NCAA Tourney. Then again, they just as easily could have had several more losses in conference play, too.

Kentucky almost changed that the other night. 3 more points and we might have had another regular season SEC title. ;)

Congrats to UT. They've had a great season. I am just hoping UK makes it to the NCAA Tourney.

It amazes me with all of the killings in "gun free zones" that the antigunners just don't realize everyone in that zone is a sitting duck.

I am curious. I wonder how many of these shooters that have been arrested have been charged with having a gun in the sitting duck zone?

This is going to be interesting. I see one of two things happening.

1) They will take credit for the cooling. Saying the steps they are taking are working and we need to do more and press the government for more.

2) They will simply spin it into the "global climate change" line of b.s. and continue on as is.

Regardless, it won't change a thing with them.

I really don't like any of the choices.

Juan McCain's strongest point is probably the war. I like the idea of cutting spending in D.C. but how many times has he reflected that in his voting? Not to mention there are 2 or 3 Justices on the SCOTUS that have been waiting for 8 years to retire. Do you think he will appoint strict constructionist, conservative leaning judges? Can you say "Gang of 14"? Then you have immigration. How is hiring Juan Hernandez as his campaign's "Hispanic Outreach Director" having a change of heart and being strong on borders? Oh and there is a little thing called the First Amendment that he nullified with McCain/Feingold.

I really don't know if I can vote FOR him. It will most likely be a vote AGAINST Hillary or Obama. Like it makes any real difference in the long run. Then again I might just write in Adam Savage/Jamie Hyneman instead.

This really sucks.

You could be right. Since Fred dropped out of the race, things have really started looking bad. For the first time since I turned 18, I do not like anyone running for President. I honestly do not know if I will be able to vote for McCain or Huckabee. The only thing that worries me more than those two is Obama and Clinton. Even those two may not be enough to get me to vote McHuckabee. If this country is going to go to Hell in a handbasket in the next 4-8 years, I would rather have a Democrap in the Oval Office.

Nazh is right. I never put a whole lot of stock in rankings until after december. It's still a little early to call it. You get a better read after the first half of the conference schedule. It all boils down to who makes it to the dance. And it looks like UK is not going to make it, unless they can keep winning.

Just wait. One of these days we'll beat Florida. :)

I am very disappointed. One rumor I've heard is that he withdrew to be with his very sick mother on what is being reported as her death bed. I understand why he would make that decision. I don't like it, but I understand.

If he did it because of his performance, I'll be pissed. He was doing much better lately. Not to mention, there were a lot of states coming up with closed primaries. Ones where you have to choose within your own party. I think this is where Fred stood his best chance of gaining ground.

Now I am left without a favorite. I do not like any of the remaining candidates. Not that I would be able to vote for any of them. Kentucky doesn't vote until May. >.<
