I couldn't agree more - it's so dishonest for them to scheme like this! Just tell us how many yards are used in the pattern - not how many skeins to buy! This is a frequent frustration when I try patterns. It's so unreliable!

I do have a set of harmony wood needles which I also love. It's a close call between the two - harmony wood is sturdy, slick, and comfortable. Addi Turbo are marginally heavier than other metals, but they are mostly quiet and have a nice slippery finish.

I love this blanket. I've kept the pattern since I started knitting - just one of those things I haven't gotten to yet. You did a beautiful job! I like that pillow too!

I have attempted to crochet a couple of times.. Got the chain stitch down but I am really clumsy with that hook. Do you think my brain needs to be rewired after knitting so much?

I want to get it down - those granny square patterns are cute enough to get me to learn it! Do you know of some good resources on self-teaching?
