Do it. They're a great way to support local farms and to get fresh, amazing, wonderful vegetables at an amazing value. I have a share in the Parker Farm CSA and it's easily more than enough for two people. I also like that it has forced me to expand the range of veggies I'll eat.

Personally I think they're just weird, but people need whatever works for their rear. I like my saddles thin and with little padding. Sadly my cheapo thin Cannondale saddle is starting to die :-(

My sister complained about the bikes as well, which is why she got the unisex model of the Trek 7.3 FX. Best bet is check some of the smaller brands which are awesome - a personal favorite of mine is twinsix.

I love it. Julie and I share a small share, which is apx $300 for the year (beginning of June to end of October) which breaks down to about $15 a week. We get more veggies than we can generally eat, and out tastes have quickly become much more diverse. I had never had some of the leafy greens we received during the first few weeks in addition to some of the squashes and such later in the year. Best bet is to find out the following things.

1) Who has shares still available - our guy generally sells out by March-ish. Be sure to see if they offer different sizes as well.
2) Do you have roomies or friend who will share it with you? This helps bring the cost down some.
3) Where and when are the pickups. We had three different options for pickup locations and days. We also had the option to have it delivered by a cargo bicycle courier company here, which while awesome, costs a bit more. (That and I'd rather just ride my bike to get it anyways)
4) What are their growing/farming practices. We likes that our guy is local, is almost totally organic, and is actually interested in having people come out to help or see what farming is like.

Overall, it's one of the best things Julie and I have done.

From what I've heard, it just takes some time to break the brooks and similar style/material saddles in. Personally I like my saddles pretty thin.
