Used a similar idea a couple days ago during an interview with an account manager responsible for upselling products. Very useful exercise helping separate the true candidates.

I would slightly revise Christopher's comment with "Teacher". As journalist and creators are developing content, I believe the majority of this content has to be designed from a teaching standpoint. Obviously, people are searching the web for knowledge, so why not develop the content from a teaching perspective.

I disagree that the person apology statement should come from the "responsible party at your company". I work in the automotive industry and there have been times where sales people and customers did not mutually disagree. The result was negative emotions that were posted online. I do not think it best for the sales person to respond, but instead the General Manager of the dealership.

How do you determine which blogs or websites to write (outside of your main blog)? I have been asked to write in other blogs and websites in my niche, but am cautious because I am not certain of the main objective.

Do I write for the blog to contribute information? But then, why don't I just write this post for my blog instead? Or, do I write a post or article for a blog/website other than my own just to report current market information? Many times I feel I must filter my thoughts in the market to conform to the market's ability to truly process the information.

Any thoughts would be helpful.
