Anyway. I got the Khan iPad app a week ago and really love it. Just signed up for Coursera and even two classes!

If a few things go my way, I'll be a but closer to writing more and doing things on my own terms! :) and hopefully that'll include more traveling!

Cheering you on! I might have to do this challenge while I'm on break from school. I really need to downsize in terms of just overall stuff. I have the hardest time doing that though. With clothes especially. But I really should get on that if I plan on moving again (which I do).

my school friends always get on me when I get on pinterest... because then I spend about an hour only pinning foods.

I've yet to make anything from pinterest, food & craft wise... but I do use pinterest for my mood boards for various assignments.

I absolutely LOVE pinterest--the only thing I don't like is all the "thinterest"/"thinspiration" stuff.

I used to complain that my 10am classes were too early. (Mainly because I'd have to leave the house by 9a...) ... but yeah, TOTALLY not the same as being AT work at 5:00am. The few mornings I'd have to get up super early for tour were hard (because they too involved over an hour of bus riding)... and no caffeine for me. :(

Oh. One of these days I'm going to find a way to get you a Dr. Pepper cupcake from Phoebe's.

I love Chicago... but for a while I've wondered if maybe I should try St. Louis for a job. I've got (at least) one good friend one there, and cost of living is way cheaper. I've had an even stronger pull to go back to China. Explore and teach... but well, in all of that, it's my friends in Chicago that keep me here. Not ready just yet to be so far from them. (Plus, I can't move my cats to China.)

Hope you can figure some stuff out! And if you end up, even just visiting Chicago, let me know! :)

Obviously my childhood failed since I didn't even remember that Ryan Gosling was in an episode of AYAOTD. Shirtless no less!

... however, Pete & Pete was the shit. I had a major little kid crush on Big Pete.

Also: Salute Your Shorts and Hey Dude, anyone? ... I feel like I need to acquire all these lost childhood favorites. But, um, though I watched it every day as a kid, AYAOTD can just stay hidden in the back parts of my memory.

I love this, Jenn! And I think Nick has a good point in the generational gap. This is a good reminder to new designers like me that we need to step it up and really take advantage of technology to build an experience, not just some cool looking piece of advertising. Good creative directors in ad agencies, regardless of age, will recognize this and not kill an idea just because it's new and strange to them.

I think I need to challenge myself to incorporate an awesome QR code execution in one of my next campaigns. :)

Would totally love getting involved in this. Shoes are definitely not in my budget and a lot of mine didn't survive last year too well... I mainly walk in Chicago, so any heel that can survive a mile is AMAZING.

Emaline is absolutely adorable.

Tuija likes butter... but I discovered this while she had her head buried in my bowl of popcorn licking the butter off each piece. I've also discovered my cats have no interest in tuna. Not in the fishy canned form. Not even in their food or treats.

But the adorableness sort of wins over all the other quirks.
