I have the brown case and it is really beat up after two weeks of everyday use. The most aesthetic case I've purchased, but certainly far from the toughest.

Congrats on making a life changing decision. I quit smoking 7.5 years ago breaking a 13 year habit. My cigs of choice were John Player Special "the black pack" I'll tell you that it wont be easy and the cravings wont go away for a while.

I quit smoking while I was working in a very stressful environment, and for the first three days I couldn't focus on anything, but after the first three days, It got easier, and eventually I stopped craving the first morning and after dinner smoke.

Fast forward to present day, and I still cannot believe that I used to smoke, it really is a disgusting money & health draining habit.

Glad to hear you are walking into this with a positive attitude.

PS. Nine bucks for a pack of smokes now???? Another reason I'm glad I stopped.

I was in the same boat as you when I started down this road. PHP, ASP and Java experience, but no experience using C.

The book was a great help, It is a very dry read, but covers the basics. I wanted to make things more difficult for myself, so I also did the UI using code, not the interface builder. I figured that this was the only was I was going to get my hands dirty.

The forums, and google searches proved very helpful for me, as well as viewing quite a few tutorial videos on YouTube.

I assure you, when I approach my other application, I plan on using Interface Builder as my next app is very large and very video centric.

Ahh, the Sears Wish Book. That and the holiday catalogue from Consumers Distributing were the best places to scope out Star Wars toys.

Davey, another quality blog post!

Sadly, todays generation of kids will never appreciate the time and effort it took into making a mix tape. Burning a CD or creating an iPod playlist just doesn't have the same charm.

Thanks Kevin. If you are thinking of going Video DSLR, Canon has the best options. The Nikon lineup is seriously lacking great video features.

Not my actual scale. It is a program on my iPhone called "Weightbot" I just entered the number from the scale into it.

My real scale is not that impressive.
