I tried this when it first came out but it felt more like "proof-of-concept" to me than anything else. Cool idea but not much more than that in my experience.

Just downloaded it and started it up. First impression- it is the nicest AdobeAir-powered Twitter interface yet. The ability to have two columns, one for public and one for private Tweets is nice. The way it handles multiple accounts is even nicer!

I've been using a Speck clear case on my 13" Alum. MacBook since day one and I love it. Sure it would be nice to have that extra bit of thin lightness but the tradeoff for total protection and a pristine MacBook is huge. My only wish... LOVE the $15 price... I paid 3 times that.

Great experiment you have going Carly- can't wait to see how this all plays out as the week unfolds. I find myself using my iPhone for some much these days that the idea of being able to pair it to a small light companion device that offered a larger-sized keyboard and perhaps a larger screen is more interesting than ever.

I would love if somewhere along the way you could describe the experience of posting to GD using the RedFly.

Wayne- no complaints about iTunes here either.

I had a friend in graduate school who did the low-tech version of this. Every day he took on Polaroid picture so that he could look back over the year when it ended. The bum even woke me up one day when I was crashed on his couch and I was his "shot for the day". Ah yes the ol' "wake up to a flash going off three feet from your face" trick.

I like this idea of this a lot although seeing how far you have fallen since you ended doing South Beach might be a bit of a downer...

I have used a number of different Jabra headsets, the original Jawbone (had three in a row break and gave up after the third), Plantronics Voyager 855, iVoice baby Ai (good sounding but not nearly as comfortable), Etymotic etyBlU (good sounding but not nearly as comfortable), a number of Sony Ericson headsets and the Apple bluetooth headset.
For the most part I have been using the Jabra SP700 speakerphone in the car since none of the headsets worked as well for me... until now. The fact that this headset sits in my ear so securely, is so very comfortable and sounds as good as it does has really surprised me. At least thusfar, it appears to be a no-compromise headset.

Have to say I don't see what you are. I think this did an excellent job of pointing out how laughable Apple's response was here. Plain and simple they lied.

Not sure what it is these days. Just because you say it is or isn't true that makes it real? I don't think so.

And everyone seems to be doing it. Say it over and over again with a tone like even you believe it and others are supposed to buy what you are selling?

People need to realize that things are on tape or on line and ae easily checked.

Fake you resume... people are going to find out.

Politicians claim they never said this or that... reporters pull out the tape of them saying EXACTLY that.

Did Apple not think people would check the veracity of what they wrote?

Sad truly sad... I AM an iPhone-using, MacBook Pro writing Apple fan and I am disgusted.

You will love it!!!!! Just make sure you
speak slowly and clearly. Oh, and make sure you end the "session"
before the 30 seconds are up. I know it sounds convoluted but it
becomes natural pretty fast. Within a week you'll wonder how you ever
used your iPhone without it.

Yes, I think the are speaking about just that- record, send to clipboard and
then paste in. The Beta version for the BlackBerry has much tighter
integration than this but the clipboard dance you need to do becomes quite
natural after a bit.

I think it won't be Dragon Pro as much as, "if you want more than ten
seconds snippet it will cost___."

Smart approach since many of us who use it for free will rely upon it with a
short period and then will be MORE likely to pay rather than lose it.

Agreed! Here is what I hope they DON'T do... I hope they don't do "Pay $X
for Y minutes". Let me pay a flat fee per month and use all I want. I hate
the "buy a bucket of minutes" approach some of the BlackBerry apps take.

I really don't know. Truth is, I was actually surprised that it is US and
iPhone only. My hope is that this is a first step and they roll out a touch
and an international version too.

It is an awesome jailbreak app called Overboard. It works beautifully and I
can't imagine having my iPhone without it.

This is on of the best jailbreak apps I have downloaded. Thanks Larry!
I always have had issues with the iPod interface on the iPhone. This
application brings back the ease of use that made the iPod such a hit.

if you use any email service you are already sharing way more information
than this. To quote them...

mind so as to make informed decisions about services and the companies
behind them....

The should make it clearer that they do this but let's bear in mind that the
only way to not share this data is to unplug completely.

I would agree with you if you were not locked into a data plan for a set
period of time once you bought the device. But you are. Buy the device and
you MUST continue the data plan so it DOES factor in.

I was somewhat turned off to the Kindle after the whole DRM issue last
summer. That plus the 1984 debacle made me question whether or not I wanted
to continue to use it. When compared to what Judie just went through with
the Nook however the Kindle looks near perfect. Obviously it isn't but of
the ebook readers currently out it is certainly the one to choose!!!

Judie's experience with the Nook, plus my great experience on vacation with the Kindle, has put me so far back into Amazon's camp I am surprised. So long as you have DRM you ultimately have to make a choice and for me it is straight up the Kindle. (Unless Apple does something!)

This was a joke right? Calling a guy biased because the vendor of the device doesn't carry his books? Talk about assumptions!
