Personally I dont for one minute believe this is the bottom ( i see that as 600ish ) , I think its more concern from a TA point of view on the minis is we might skip the bounce.

Yeah . My wifes brother is a risk manager in Santander and he tells me they are " only " lending to AAA but with the strictest of requirements for asset backing , depsite the Libor haven fallen the volume of lending is very low over here in Europe. He has a permanent contract with the bank and is having a hard time getting a loan himself...

Its totally funny but representative of what we do as traders ensure we are not thinking like the herd. That being said give me a haircut and 3 piece suit and i could get on the soap box like the best of those experts. My tip for the day to the mass would be , " buy financials before its too late, Citi looks especially cheap "

Blaming Smart money for being smart aint the answer , although i do have mixed feelings on naked short selling. Less shorts in the market meant less people looking to cover intraday/week.
