A bee sees deep blue flowers because she can see into the UV part of the electromagnetic spectrum&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;if i was around an elephant, i couldn't hear it speaking because human ears can't hear their low frequencies&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;and if i'm aboriginal Australian, i might think all of this is a dream, a concept that Nobel laureate physics scientist do not dismiss&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;not too long ago, subquarks were thought to be virtual quantum particles that only existed because we expected them to!&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Ener Hax</dc:creator><pubDate>Fri, 21 Mar 2014 11:57:43 -0000</pubDate></item><item><title>Re: 5 tips for building word-of-mouth buzz for your grid</title><link>http://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2014/02/5-tips-for-building-word-of-mouth-buzz-for-your-grid/#comment-1262888967</link><description>&lt;p&gt;i'm going to toss in my two cents, for whatever they may be worth (and because i am a big blabber mouth) =D&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;all your suggestions are excellent but most take a tremendous amount of time or resources. hiring Pathfinder would be expensive, giving away stuff is time consuming, and holding parties and conferences take a great deal of planning&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;in my opinion and experience, if a person does one or two of these events, they expect a lot of recognition and lasting recognition&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;it seems, from my experience and from social media experts like Technorati and Guy Kawasaki, that a sustained presence is a good way to go (reading Guy K's books is invaluable - he turned Apple around after all)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;from my experience, being genuine in your conversation and engaging with everyone over a long time (like years), not just the Pathfinders out there, will lead to an online reputation&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;yes, i have spoken a lot with Pathfinder directly (and even went to Linden Lab when he was there and had lunch with two managers) and participated in his blogs and in Reaction Grid, but i also chat with anyone that comments on my blog or to my Twitter (or email)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;for example, Penelope (i have no idea who she is) and her one comment is just as important as Pathfinder&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;and smart use of tools (such as google alerts and many more) plus things to do (like gravatar) to multiply your efforts helps&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;being genuine, being constant (like my 45 months of 1.4 posts per day and 15K images plus being deep into VWs whether 19 SL sims or a physical server), and participating in conversations (not talking to people, but talking with people), will yield results that are measurable (google analytics, Alexa, followers, and the ego - the ever so important and overly pushy ego)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;its funny but my avatar LinkedIn account of Ener Hax gets more connection requests than my "real me" account! in fact, Ener last week turned down an in-person speaking gig at a Ball State University conference! =)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;being genuine doesn't mean your identity as in who you really are, but it does mean being real when dealing with others and really listening&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;being silly helps too, but that's a genuine trait i have - as an avatar and real person  =)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;just my two cents and the only important contribution i have is to say to read Guy's books!  =D&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;edit: i was going to retweet the HypergridBiz tweet of this story, but that account doesn't follow one of the tenets:" And keep the recognition coming.
