They turned the wolf boy -- who in the first season was just a good guy who did bad things because a bad thing was done to him... into an jerk who did bad things because he was a jerk. WTF happened?

Re: Being Human comes to the US as Becoming a Douche

I actually did not care for the 2nd Season of Being Human from BBC. I love the vampire storyline and the ghosty girl... but the werewolf crap sucks... and that's mostly what it was about. Everytime I started liking the vampire storyline, they would go back to the stupid wolf boy. I have not seen (thankfully) the US version.

Re: Thriller Halloween Light Show

SO COOL! I've heard from many lgbt friends that they can't stand it. I don't think it's the message. Mostly it's some of the corny musical numbers or sudden shifts in reality that get them. Like I said, I love this, but I think it might be under the radar because of that. It's kinda like Gypsy 83. Some of us out here adore it! But it's a target audience kind of thing. So sad... but also, so good for those who produce these films for us. If only they had the budgets of the studios.

Re: Fandom Today #499 “Seeing a World in a Grain of Sand”

LMAO! YES! Book list please!!! :) YEAH!!!!
Most cons are so last minute and volunteer... none of them are organized.
The only ones I've seen organized and press releasey are corporate and not good.
BTW--- Stealing an idea I saw online... You can have a online con where you take your site (or build a site/temp site) and have like a week long "CON" with activities all week and guest bloggers, with giveaways, and *LIVE* chats or audio chats etc... *start thinking*
Back on books-- Can you start a Goodreads book group that then the rss feeds into a page on here? o.O Where like all of our updates and lists can be found as we post? o.O
Where can me & my best friend start a manga fan club? Give me the link, we will do it! We have actual missions and go on trips for this stuff. It's an outing and stuff hehehe.
WAKE UP DAMNED SLEEPING DRAGON!!!!

Re: Fandom Today #492 “The Best Little Secrets Are Kept Behind The Gates”

Great cast! Ok, when Eric was talking about going to one place to get the guns and another to get the boat... I totally got a flash of Shaun of the Dead when he has those scenarios that work out perfect. Brian's got a point with Walmart. Less windows, less entrances. However... you'd have to make it a SUPER Walmart. Cause those ones without food would suck. I don't think Cheetos and Little Debbies would sustain you for very long. That's a good question... how long can you last on just water and vitamins? o.o Does it increase your livability at all? Or is it just like not having food?

Re: Sanctuary Second Season DVD

Just finished watching the 2nd Season of Sanctuary. I was not as impressed. It was still good, but since Ashley kinda brought that very much needed (comedy? lighter side?) break from all the serious moody people... kinda sucked that she was changed / gone. Didn’t like the chick she was replaced with and dude’s invisible girlfriend who died??? Saw that coming miles away. Also... the whole Magnus struggle for power kept pissing me off. She's supposed to be the end all and we totally bought that. And now it seems like she's just a peon and I don't like that. We DO like the vampire dude Tesla- he is just funny and awesome. What else? Why is Callum Blue (bad guy in Kali episodes and incidentally Mason from Dead Like Me) always wanting to stick things into different holes in his body? Spiders... drugs... you name it! Hhehee.
OK- One last thing... me and my husband always have to make cracks about whatever we're watching (even if we like it) and when Ashley (Epsiode 1? 2?) was standing on top of the building in that mutant vampire, boy band dance formation... I couldn't help turning to my husband and saying... "Ain't no lie. Bye, bye bye..." Cause that shot... though trying to be very awesomey-Underworldish-cool... was just so corny for me. Also, the Bollywood ending with dude trying to dance for Kali was way too funny. I love Bollywood, but they are SUPPOSED to be corny. Especially with all the shots of him being alone and all the people looking at him like he was crazy. I felt like someone in the crowd should’ve turned to his neighbor and in a very Bollywood accent say, “What does he think? This is Pants Off Dance Off?” Overall… I’d rate this season a 7 with moments of 2 & 3.

Re: Fandom Today #488 “Hero or Sidekick”

SSSIIIIIIDDDDEEEEE KKKKICCCKKKKK!

Re: Fandom Today #486 “Cry Squirrel and Let Loose The Ogres of War”

Awesome to hear your scariest books! I just thought of this... and maybe it explains EVERYTHING from Twilight to every movie that we've ever seen that was made from a book. Perhaps the reason we (especially authors or creative thinkers) have such awesome imaginations, that when we read these books, we think up this wonderful setting that no movie crew can possibly create? Is it more like... I read something and imagine things that the author or someone else wouldn't think? Like for instance in Twilight, Alice being goth. In my head she is a witchy, gothy, chick with awesome dark style. In the movie they make her into kinda of a slighty-goth preppy teen. Is it our imaginations and lifestyles that color our view? Wow. This is pretty profound. I would really like to hear what you guys think.

Re: Fandom Today #485 “The Dreamers Choice”

I think you guys will like New Moon better because it's really depressing. More so in the book than the movie, but it deals with the subject of someone leaving you and how you become so depressed- you look for anything to ease the pain. The werewolves are awesome... yes they are SUPPOSED to be oversized wolves. Also, they had a bigger budget this time so a lot of the filming was just better. This is where the book series takes a really big turn and shows a girl who becomes self-destructive chooses the wrong guy. Bella is really just a lover of pain I think. Anyway- the love triangle begins even more and I can't wait for my favorite book of the series- Eclipse. I hope they don't mess it up too bad. From the previews, the other vampires look way too pretty... but we'll see. Several years removed from the books, I find myself more angry at the last book and just pissed that she did that to me. Grrrrr.... But still, the movies are slightly entertaining. One thing I keep coming back to is the stupid high school friends. They are just so badly cast. Whenever you see Bella next to her "normal friends" it's like... they look like pre-teens and she is an adult. It's very weird. OH! And in New Moon... I think when Edward is calling Bella from overseas in the hotel room, that he looks like Christopher Walken. LMAO! It might just be me... what do you think?

Re: Manga Review: Muhyo & Roji’s BSI by Yoshiyuki Nishi

Since reading this, I've seen more and more stories with mouths all over the skin. The visuals are awesome, our actors are great, Tim is great, but it's slow and I wanted to rewind so bad!!!
The Crazies was wicked scary. Liked it much more than I thought I would. These aren't zombies people... They are people who are freaked up in the head from some disease and all they want to do is kill you. They are fast and have no logic. They are your neighbors! Not only that... but the government is trying to keep you in there with those freaks even if you're not sick! The hospital scene where the guy comes in with the pitchfork... and the girls are latched down on the beds... can't run... can't do anything and he's just forking every bed... I think I'll have nightmares for weeks over that one.

Re: Sanctuary: The Abnormal Reality of A Vampire Squid

Lmao...
