I'd try it out, but none of my ATSC tuners are currently supported.

This is not true. I don't know why only some of the comments show up. These images show a different story than you're saying. The screenshots are all the average ratings and the most recent ratings. I wouldn't really classify that as "pretty much everyone hates this app lol". As I said in another comment, almost all of the bad ratings are from people with incompatible phones.

Would using "Living Images" in the name still be misleading in your opinion? I've already registered an alternate name of "#LivingImages" ... I couldn't think of anything else that made any sense as to what the app did. Thanks.

The bad reviews are from people who don't have compatible phones and aren't reading the warning at the beginning of the description. I've talked with a couple of people at Microsoft and nobody seemed to care that I have the word Lumia in the name. If they ask me to change the app name I'm happy to do so. It is very easy to see that my company name is not Microsoft. I just made the icon purple so it would fit in with the other Lumia apps. I'm not trying to get rich off the app and in fact am giving any money received to charity.

Forgot to come back and give an update! I added support of Living Images to the app and I just released another app relating to Living Images! It's called "Lumia Living Images" and it lets you share living images and Action Shots as videos. There's quite a few ways to tweak it before you share it too. Cool idea. I'll look into that. One roadblock I can think of right now is that I already have to resize the images when I load them so the app doesn't hit the memory limit.... so having multiple living images may cause memory issues.

I actually just released an update today that gives you more control over what images/videos show up in the slideshow. You can select multiple folders to view or even select individual items.

Just saw your comment... I actually just updated with a Portuguese (Brazil) translation today. It should be in the app store shortly. I used Google Translate though, so it may have some issues. If you don't mind, check it out after it updates in the store and let me know with the button on the about page if there are any improvements to the phrases/words used in the translation. Thanks!!!

We'll see if it pays off. I've already got the universal app and have mutliple languages supported on the Windows Phone version. Looks like I need to add a few more languages to support though.

I guess the success of the app will just depend on one thing... is the app good enough for people to pay for the IAPs? I hope so!

Here are a few reasons I can come up with:
1. The request from several users was specifically for trakt so that's why I suggested it.
2. It seems to be more HTPC focused than GetGlue.
3. You can customize whether you want it to post to your social networks or not based on the show (or not post it to social networks at all). This would be essential for something that runs in the background and does everything automatically.
4. It looks like it provides a few more features that could be made use of such as recommendations based on your library and what you've been watching. I don't think that is available in GetGlue.

As I told Alex, I'm not sure how much I would actually use/like it myself, which is why I opened it up to all... Everybody likes different things I guess. Any other suggestions on other plugins that Media Center is missing?

Looks like GetGlue just changed their name to tvtag. Better name :) ... Thanks for the compliments! One of the reasons I'm asking the community is because it was suggested to me and I don't know how much I would use/like it myself :) Do you have any other ideas for needed plugins?

That's a pretty good idea. Not sure exactly where you got stuck, but yes, it is extremely confusing how to get a new project started. First, the SDK is so old that it hasn't been updated to work on the new versions of Visual Studio (paid or free) so you have to manually copy over all the right files to the right places just so you can get started... after that it doesn't get much easier :)

Any idea why animations are disabled in 3rd party addins when you launch with a custom entry point? At least that is my experience. Do others see this as well?

Does Comskip scan shows while they are recording or does it need to wait until it is finished recording? I know when it first supported wtv files it needed to wait... just wondering if it can scan while recording now. Thanks!
