FREE IRAN1A • 10 years ago

Iranian leaders try to drag the world in to another non ending war like IRAQ to take attention away from their own terrorist activities. Last week it was reported on "RADIOFARDA.COM" that Iranian government has accepted the blame for shipment of poison gas to Syria.THE POISON GAS ATTACK WAS ORDERED BY HIGH IRANIAN OFFICIALS AND WAS DONE BY THEIR OWN MILITIA GROUP. That is why RAFSANJANIE the x president last week tried to blame the Syrians for the gas attack in order to make the case stronger for getting the USA to attack Syria. Attacking Syria is the best gift to Iranian terrorist government the same way it was Iraq war. By now everybody knows that the head of the snake is sitting in IRAN. The only way to solve the middle east problem is to cut the snake head by supporting the Iranian opposition movement. This could have happened four years ago when millions of people were in the street all over Iran calling for regime change but USA and the world
ignore them and continue appeasing the mullahs.

Instead of an ill-conceived bombing campaign that can only help the islamist radicals, a concerted effort should be undertaken to FIRST identify any pro-democracy insurgents if any still exist. Then SECOND provide what arms and support we can that will strengthen there hand. If we are going to influence the Syrian civil war we should attempt to define and/or create a 3rd side in the conflict that is not aligned with the al Qaeda types. After Assad's eventual fall, l they should be in a superior position relative to the barbarian fundamentalist.

gneubeck • 10 years ago

A question for every member of the Congress - 'In
reviewing the consequences of Barack Obama's calamitous dalliances in Egypt and
Libya, can you in good conscience commit the United States to still another
military mis-adventure in Syria, with all of its unforeseen complications, under
the leadership of a confirmed abject incompetent? As a result of the 'ManChilds'
foray into Libya, we now have a Nation under the virtual control of al Qaida and
its affiliates. Are we now to deliver Syria, with all of its WMD stockpiles,
into the hands of Islamist Extremists with a virulent hatred of the United
States?

We all recognize that, detached from his
meticulously choreographed teleprompters, Obama overextended his verbosity with
his 'RedLine' comment. For the sole sake of Obama's, already lack of credibility
on the world stage, are we to commit American blood and treasure to defend
Obama's non-existent honor?

The vast majority of the American people have
voiced their opposition to still another Obama debacle in his amateurish
exercise of foreign policy. Will Congressional members reject the collective
wisdom of the American people so as to provide a 'fig-leaf' for Obama's moronic
ineptitude? Greg Neubeck

In the meantime we are all exposed to another weapon of mass distraction – i.e. the speeches by Obama, Kerry, Hegel, Pelosi, McCain, Graham, and other such low-IQ bloviating gasbags. So farcical have the linguistic games become that we have reached a point at which Congress is being instructed that, Assad having crossed a red line that Obama didn’t set, it must accord Obama the permission that he doesn’t need, to start a war that isn’t a war.

Observer • 10 years ago

Excellent post MarcJ.

stinkarella • 10 years ago

the sad part is these idiot senators actually believe assad used these weapons in the first place when the u.s. the saudis and the qataris actually aided the rebels to use them instead. of course we need to stay out of it but, the u.s. cannot exist unless it is manufacturing wars and your congess persons and senators don't care what you think about it. come on 50-1 against it and they still can't decide ? sounds to me like they have 100 times more to gain by attacking, if you know what i mean....

Obama needs the distraction. He has 3 more years in office.

Blowback is not in the vocabulary of the brotherhood underwriting one more entry into the mass destruction of our species and Earth - what I call Nadakind's Species-Destructo Derby. When an administration woos and the so-called representatives of the people dangle what is at stake are the millions of dollars dribbling from defense contractors into the coffers of the elected. Until effective right action campaign finance reform is enacted by law war will continue to be the highest level of dialogue hobbled to dirty oil. Anyone who thinks the empire can continue at this rate of insanity has no understanding of history. The entire world - because of the Internet and social media - is hip to the US Govt. destroying itself on its latest suicide mission so heartless and ego-ridden most of us living outside the empire are more than saddened - we are totally aghast at this blatant insanity. If any of you think the myth of America being a dominant power has any breath left then you are part of the problem. I standby the US Constitution. My family came to America in 1620 to live their idea of religious freedom. I reside in a country (Costa Rica) because it has no military nor any desire to rule other countries or intervene in other countries. I am not an advocate of geo-boundaries. I am a thumper for peace and justice and freedom. The values we, the world, the people, place over any govt., religiosity, or flailing attempt to sell war as a solution to anything are gaining in awareness and in actual actions of change. Fear is the has-been means to colonialism. War is the arcane path to destroy culture, life, and Earth. Chemicals are no different than drones. Living in a war torn neighborhood be it in Detroit or Damascus is how to suppress and oppress in the name of the empire. Impeach every single faux public servant who works for war. And, as for the Lanky Yankee (Kerry), why would you sell out, so cheaply to the empire? What emotive gun are they holding to your head? Is power mongering strolling through the historical gardens of the planet with world leadership so heady you forgot what you promised us so long ago when you stood up as a Vet against the war in Vietnam/SE Asia? We are hearing the death rattles of the Empire so enamored by its greed and bloated egos they are incapable of realizing Tomahawks (hate this name - such a total disregard for Native American culture) will do far more collateral damage to America than Syria. How? Respect is based on right action.

I said that 2 weeks ago. Obama will do nothing, this is just a diversion away from the Obama scandals in the United States. If using chemical weapons is a reason for attacking a country then the Iraqi war would have started in 2009 when the Democrats like Pelosi, Clinton, Kerry were pushing for the invasion of Iraq.

What part of "We don't want to attack Syria!" do not our erstwhile government "leaders" not understand? I can understand that zerobama wants to make something, ANYTHING, happen to cover his idiotic bluster about 'red lines', but why do our REPUBLICAN leaders ALSO want to help him save face?

Yes, our Fearless Leader President-for-life (HE wishes), has let his alligator mouth overload his hummingbird sphincter, and it would reflect poorly on America, but our 'prestige' in the world is ALREADY gone, by that same Fearless Leader President-for-life!

Putin of Russia thinks zerobama is an idiot and a flake; the rest of the world isn't far behind, so why try to rescue him now? Is the GOP leadership REALLY trying to help him salvage his 'destiny'?

Obama has tried to pin this RED LINE IN THE SAND on Congress. He is lying. The Red Line is his and his alone. The American People are sick and tired of war, sick and tired of losing loved ones in a fight that really does not concern them, and sick and tired of 20+ trillion dollar deficits that this president has foisted on them. They are also sick and tired of the deceit that Obummer has practiced again and again. If he attacks Syria he should be impeached, as he should have been impeached 50 or more times ago.

The people in Washington that vote against the decisions of their constituents know that they are there to serve their home base but choose not to in favor of personal or political reasons.
They are dishonorable and treasonists. They feel so high and mighty, they forget who serves whom.

grahambanks • 10 years ago

Someone needs to explain to these reps what the nature of their duty is. Most of the time the people choose to have you make mundane decisions on their behalf, out of convenience. However, when an issue appears to have the significance to prompt the constituents to clarify their opinion so dramatically, you are bound to follow their will. A representative is NOT entrusted to make decisions merely on their own thinking, but rather to coalesce the collective will of their district and carry that forward.

When I read through this rather lengthy article filled with tautologies and errors in perspective, I feel as if I'm seeing people who have not yet been snapped out of hypnosis. There are errors of fact of course that are the basis of the arguments contained herein.
I'll start by saying that there are two facts that would be very difficult to dispute. First, chemical weapons were used, and second Assad has chemical weapons. So far so good. The problem isn't with the foregoing. However when we come to what ought to follow from the two facts above, that is Assad used chemical weapons, the argument then takes on the non sequitur of the logical absurdity embodied in the term post hoc ergo propter hoc; that is Assad has chemical weapons, therefore Assad used them.
This is precisely the core of the argument that these fine examples of statesmanship use when debating this issue. That is the core of Obama's desire to blood let. Ignored of course are a number of rebels who defected from the Muslim brotherhood recently who admitted that they and not Assad where to blame in order to give justification to US support for their cause. Add to this that some 24 hours before this alleged attack, there appeared on youtube, video's (since removed) showing the rebels unloading a style of chemical war head that Assad doesn't use.
The interference behind the scenes of the Obama regime's effort to hamper UN inspection of the attack site, points in a single direction. I believe this was indeed a false flag event and have offered my evidence for all here to examine for themselves. There seems to be something more disturbing as the motivation for what Obama and his supporters in the senate have in mind.
No Obama, we don't support you, and neither does the rest of the world. You are a capering isolated mad man intent upon peace, that is the silent peace of the graveyard.

They could care less what the sheeple think and hold utter contempt and disdain for "US!" They no longer listen to their constituents but answer to the Illuminati; so, it is imperative that we no longer listen to them (got that NSA) but rather start civil protests such as the likes of Arab Spring that these despots purport to support - right Hillary and Obaa-baa-ma, Pelosi, Reid, "Lurch" Kerry, Shumer, "McShame, "Graham-cracker" and the rest of the globalist puppets!

Obama doesn't make decisions. He leaves that up to the idiots he has surrounded himself with.

Obama in a word:

. .Ineptocracy ( In-ep-toc-racy)

A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

The only chemical weapons in this dog and pony shows are the chemicals used in the inks on the promissory notes we call dollars. This is nothing to do with Syria and everything to do with $yria and the financial bankruptcy of the empire. What would the military machine do without enemies? Spend the peace divident on infrastructure, education, health care....?

We should sit this one out. The U.S. doesn't need to interject itself into every problem on the globe. All the players in this issue (Obama, Kerry, and McCain) were in the Senate when America went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Two of the three worked, along with the media, to spin those wars as failures. Well they succeeded.

We have nothing to gain from either side's victory. With any luck, the Muslims will spend the next 20 years fighting each other and leave us alone.

How is this a broader war on terrorism ? The terrorist are with the rebels .It's about oil, There are reports that Saudi Arabia wants to build a pipeline across Syria. The Russians and Syrians have refused them that right. So now Saudi Arabia wants us to fight their proxy war. Does anyone wonder why we are rushing to war again. Even before the UN chemical test are completed.( not that I trust anything about the UN ) This is a no win war from the beginning.

220VOLTS • 10 years ago

Countries have civil wars. Americans need to remember that we killed over 600 hundred thousand of our own brothers and sisters to save the Republic. This was before modern weapons and was put paid with a population 10% of today.
Maybe it's time for the US to draw its own red-line and stop these kindergarten kop activities in East Asia. Nobody knows who used chemical agents, and if so, it's a Euro / East Asian responsibility, not Uncle Sam.
Maybe fixing America first should be on the front burner, not how "history" sees the Obama, Kerry,, Bush, and Clinton's legacy.
Hey - problems in Syria? Let Israel and Russia deal with it. After all the Russians have a naval facility in Syria, and Israel (with a gdp and military equal to France) are right on the scene.
Congress / stop this executive rampage over the Constitution, or there will be a rampage over Capitol Hill on the next election.
Thank you...
