Wow, Exum looks huge for a pg. How big is he?

Steve2081 • 10 years ago

Rivals has him at 6'6.

Misspoke calling him a point. More of a slashing combo.

Thanks for all of these recruiting updates, especially on a weekend such as this. Happy Father's Day to all!

Do you know why Diamond Stone didn't get an offer yesterday? I thought he had made it on campus already.

I know Evan Boudreaux is not a 5 star, top pick candidate, but I hope he visits UM and gets an offer. Bball is still a team game and I believe he would could fill a role on the team. You don't want a team of all guys who expect to get 15 shots a game and score 18 points a game.

As we learned this year you need some players who are willing to bang, dive on the floor and play defense.

When you are among the elite, which Michigan now is again, you have to pursue the 4 and 5 star kids first. That said, I agree with you about this kid. His highlights remind me a lot of a kid named Novak who wasn't too shabby for us.

Love Novak and everything he stood for.. He helped bring Michigan basketball back to prominence.. That said, you aren't gonna make a bunch of final fours with too many guys like that.. Even Novak was the first to admit that this years squad was better than his because simply put, they were more talented

When we are getting legitimate interest from so many top recruits we cannot settle for lesser recruits early in the process.. There are bigger fish to fry

You need guys like Novak and Douglass you just don't want them playing 30+ minutes a night. I think in a perfect world they'd have been 15-20 minutes a game role players. Like Pelinka and Voskuhl once the Fab 5 arrived.

I cannot agree with this. Novak was a good 3 pt shooter who worked hard on D and could guard 3 positions reasonably well. Novak is playing pro ball for a reason. Also, he played at a solid level for 4 years, which is pretty good use of a scholarship.

I get your general point, but I do not think it applies to guys who can space the floor and play D, really. Guys who are inefficient and need the ball in their hands or suck on D are not not needed if they are not NBA level talent, but every team needs guys to spread the floor and play D.

I think because we are getting legitimate interest from so many top recruits is exactly the reason we go after a player like Boudreaux and treat him like a 5-star. Like Wayman said, every team needs glue guys and in my opinion, Boudreaux would be a great glue guy for UM. How many is "too many guys like that?" It's not like Boudreaux isn't going to play high D1 hoops somewhere. He's good.
