My daughter is planning to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I play Glenda the Good Witch (while using our playsilks as my bubble!)

Sarah Silks • 11 years ago

I want to be Glenda too! Great idea.

Lori Wilson • 11 years ago

My son and husband spent weeks building a robot costume out of old boxes. Best costume ever <3

Benny • 11 years ago

This isn't a silkie-related costume idea.. but the easiest costume idea that I've heard of this year is for a gingerbread man!
My little guy is a blazing redhead.. so all that I have to do is make him an outfit of bread/bread bags.
Awesome!

Nice photos. If we use our creativity and spend some time , we definitely get fantastic results.

Onsies are great costumes too. Checkout Angry Bird and Winnie the Pooh costumes here http://kiguonesies.com

sillyangelfish • 11 years ago

We are raiding the dress up box for costumes. A police officer for one and a yet to be determined for my little one ~ I'm sure it will have many necklaces in it!

Amber B • 11 years ago

Our daughter will be a unicorn this year, but she usually dresses up like a ballerina at least once throughout each day! :)

Nicole Beauchesne • 11 years ago

My kids are thrilled with their costumes from your store. My daughter will be a fairy and my son a knight (with your sword of course!).

Theryn Spomer • 11 years ago

What a lovely giveaway.

My daughter will be a Prairie girl ala Laura Ingalls Wilder this year. We found the dress and sunbonnet at a consignment store and my mother sewed the apron.

Melissa Hunter • 11 years ago

A starry night silk would make a great wizard costume!

yuca • 11 years ago

amazing to see how versatile play-silk is! Beautiful idea!

Chandi • 11 years ago

We are going to make fall trees out of Sarah's silks for a fall play in our classroom.

Bridget • 11 years ago

One daughter would like to be a witch for Halloween, as a witch is "the star of Halloween". The other wants to be a princess, just like last year :)

Jennifer Gretchen • 11 years ago

I already ordered my daughter's costume from Sarah's Silks. She can't wait to wear it!

Raquel • 11 years ago

our family will dress as forest folk- our two year old has real lederhosen from Germany his size and we'll top him off with a gnome hat and woolly beard. so excited! we'd love to win this giveaway!

Lindsey Ladd • 11 years ago

My mother-in-law insists on buying my daughter's Halloween costumes every year without my consent. I would have loved to just let her dress-up in her silks and call it a day. Thanks for the great tips!

Christinatopinka@yahoo.com • 11 years ago

Our daughter has decided she is going to be a rainbow so she is going to wear the long one :-)

vanessa clay • 11 years ago

my best costume was a hershey bar made from cut out paper letters and taped to an all brown outfit. last minute brilliance.

Tracy Doll Love • 11 years ago

Michelle • 11 years ago

My daughter is going to be a princess! We love our playsilks and use them for so many things! Blankets, skirts, togas, hair, wings, etc.

tree • 11 years ago

i'm not entirely sure how to link images from blogger. They seemed to have switched it up and it's no longer as easy to find the photo address. So i hope these work. This is my daughter as a rainbow fairy using play silks. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J... This is my daughter dressed as a fairy on a toadstool. No silks but still super cute. :) http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W... Thanks for the chance!

Sarah Silks • 11 years ago

Thanks for sharing! so cute.

Melody • 11 years ago

My daughter wants to be a butterfly so I think we'll use her existing butterfly wings she was given last year and her rainbow playsilk for her body. I love the idea to use stuff you have on hand or create your own with cardboard or other things that you no longer need anymore!

Tim • 11 years ago

My son is going to be a knight in silky armor I have fashioned a horse frame using bamboo and draped it in colorful silks that fits around his hips and has suspenders. He will be carrying a foam silk sword and sheild, he's insisting that I carry my bugel draped in silks to play each time he approaches a door... It's going to be the best Halloween ever

Megan • 11 years ago

My daughter loves to pretend to be an animal, her favorites right now are leopard, dinosaur and dog. We will probably do a leopard with a leopard winter hat she already has and some face paint. she loves dresing up as superheroes too!

kdkam • 11 years ago

Ghostly winter starry night. Cape with big cotton clouds around her shoulders. No pics yet, sorry!

dara • 11 years ago

Lyna J • 11 years ago

I'm thinking of dressing my baby as an owl, and I'll be a tree! (We babywear.)

Mandi • 11 years ago

using silks for the tail and mane for a pony (with a horn)!

Jen • 11 years ago

My daughter LOVES the few play silks we have. She uses them to dance with; play princess with; to be a fairy to cover her baby dolls etc. If I won the gift card I'd probably get the rainbow scarf or the fairy crown!

Heather N • 11 years ago

My daughter wants to be a Rainbow Unicorn too! She always pretends she is one...prancing around the house and neighing! She has quite an imagination. If I won the giveaway, I would buy a rainbow silk. Thanks!

katrina • 11 years ago

such cute ideas and we just love your products! My daughter loves putting silks on her head to be a princes...not creative but she loves it! You could put silks on a wagon to go trick or treating and rig a canopy to make a princess cart

Mary • 11 years ago

My boys prefer either the knight cape or a homemade Star Wars costume. My daughter is happy with pretty much anything dressy.

Scott Hamilton • 11 years ago

I love the idea of using playsilks as dress-ups and letting them use their own imaginations when deciding what to wear :-)

Tina Walters • 11 years ago

We just dressed my son's school turkey project in a robot costume. Simple cardboard and tinfoil and nuts and bolts glued here and there. We were thinking of doing the same for my son's halloween costume!

Nancy • 11 years ago

Gabe and Penelope have been dressing up and flying around as the Night Sky, which sounds amazing like "Nice Guy" when Gabe ( 2 and a half ) says it. Either way, I'm good with that! It seems perfect for Halloween

Amanda Smith • 11 years ago

I would love to dress my baby up simply as "Night", wrapped in a long, starry silk!

Agnes • 11 years ago

My son loves to dress up like a ninja, with a scarf tied around his head, his black long underwear, and a scarf around his waist.

rae • 11 years ago

i have one asking for *old timey girl* :) and one asking for a robot....or a chicken!

tania • 11 years ago

a princess fairy!!

Tammy • 11 years ago

My 4yo asked to be a water fairy for Halloween. We ordered the blue fairy dress and she's worn it every day since it arrived in the mail. It's perfect and oh so fun!

Chelsea • 11 years ago

We're going to try a peacock: a blue shirt and leggings with green, purple and blue playsilks for a tail. Playsilks are the best toys ever, hands down.
