lkoerjtopied • 11 years ago

TSA should be dismantled entirely - they are a gang of ill-trained MacDonalds rejects.

Dabido Shiruba • 11 years ago

Now that we have removed all our freedom, I am sure the terrorists love us rather than hate us!

Good job Obama and Bush!

Lisa Holcomb • 11 years ago

Does she possibly touch the wheels of her own wheelchair to move around? Isn't it possible that she may have rolled through something on the ground at the airport? Why not use a little critical thinking and test the wheelchair if she is such a suspicious person? Why separate mother from daughter, but let others approach the girl freely passing items from hand-to-hand. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?Because as usual TSA has a lot of undereducated, untrained personnel bullying people around because they can. Ironically, for the same reason the threat to security is even greater because they seem to have no sense of discernment whatsoever.

Earlene Smith • 11 years ago

TSA agents have no brains! Wonder if they ever get tested to see what kind of drugs THEY are on?

Charlie Hyatt Sr • 11 years ago

Simply put its beyong time to get rid of the TSA and their Gestopo like tactics. Add these fools quickly to the unemployment lines.

Timothy Strunk • 11 years ago

Though this seems stupid of the TSA to even think this girl could be smuggling a bomb a terrorist would think nothing of planting a bomb on her because civilized Americans themselves would never think of using a child and the exact reason why a terrorist would use a child. Remember, to a radical Muslim terrorist an American child is no better then an American adult which they believe should all die. Americans must remember that these are the same people who think nothing of stoning to death a woman who yells rape with out having 5 male witnesses to back her her claim up. We must stop thinking like civilize Americans and realize the type of people who want to kill us. They will use children (Even handicapped ones and dying elderly ladies to kill as many Americans (infidels) as possible.

All this while the sheiks pass by in the next lane unbothered.

2nephi32 • 11 years ago

Amen. Get rid of this unconstitutional monstrosity.

Melinda McCoy • 11 years ago

I would have gotten arrested to be sure!!! No Way would I have stood there & watched them terrify my child without throwing down on them!!! RIDICULOUS!!!

L P • 11 years ago

They really need to hire profilers and get rid of these people with double digit IQs.
I stood, with a dozen others, at a barrier closed by the TSA, trying to get to our flight that was leaving in 15 minutes. And, we had already been through security checks. But the TSA agent wouldn't let us past until we called the airline rep. Fortunately they held the plane since so many of us passengers were missing from the flight. Granted there are some good TSA agents, but there are so many of then that are morons too.

JAM • 11 years ago

TSA made a mistake. Like so many large public and private businesses, the simply tried to save face in the light of their gaffe, then ignored how they affected the people involved. Simple as that.

Rob Stumpf • 11 years ago

I like how they use that same tired press release to respond to every stupid thing they do.

Stephen H. Polson • 11 years ago

The TSA can claim anything can't they.

Phil Luetchford • 11 years ago

What phrase can a TSA agent never say?

"I caught a terrorist."

swimkin • 11 years ago

The TSA is just one of a number of police state policies to get us conditioned to being slaves of the global elite. This is NOT about protecting you from phantom terrorists but from taking away our Bill of Rights.

Dave Zane • 11 years ago

Though last time we asked TSA in DFW for a comment card and a badge number of a very rude officer, we were told they were out of complaint forms and they would not give out the badge number, and whisked the rude SOB out of there so we could not get a name. Terrorist won indeed!

AF • 11 years ago

Unfortunately I tested positive for explosives last year. I was deadbolted in a side room with no windows with two female agents who stuck their hands so far down my pants they touched my knees. They left the room to retest for about 10 minutes or so and came back, didn't look at me or speak to me and then headed to pick up my belongings. Finally they turned to me and said, "you tested negative that time. you can go now." The only further explanation I got was that lotions from Victoria's Secret's or Bath and Body can give false positives. That doesn't make any sense. If that was correct, then they would still have gotten residue on the second screening. My guess was always that they had dirty gloves the first time. I filed a formal complaint on TSA's website. I received a form letter in response.

This is sad, but if it had been a man with a turban on his head we'd all be happy.

TO GET RID OF TSA GET RID OF THE PEOPLE AT THE TOP

Roci • 11 years ago

I didn't watch the entire video, but it sounds like TSA was actually doing a good job here. In any test there are going to be a certain amount of false positives. Detaining false positives for an hour does not seem like a bad idea. Seems that the mother and little girl were not very cooperative.

Notch • 11 years ago

YOU are one of the smart ones. We are few on here.

Not Impressed • 11 years ago

The TSA mission is to be nothing but dumbasses who do nothing but bully innocent people because they are different. she's in a wheelchair therefore a twelve year old girl must be a bomb!! Get educated you TSA IDIOTS

willietrohut • 11 years ago

I travel back and forth a few times a year to visit my Mom in another state. I always wear the same clothing to travel and always have the same bag packed in the same manner. Been doing this for years. Suddenly, in the past couple of months, they are "detecting" something in my right pocket, twice on the same trip. There was nothing in my pocket, but that picture from the xray scan had a square around a point in my right pocket. Lint? Also, I always take a bottle of shower to shower powder with me. It looks like liquid on the baggage xray screen, so I routinely have the habit of putting it in the basket with my shoes and liquids. This last time, a TSA agent says "it shows up green on the screen so we have to test it". She says it is always shower to shower and no other powder, as most show up blue, but when it shows up green, they must test it. Really? I take it with me always and this is the first time anyone has ever said or done this with my powder. She says "it is always shower to shower powder". I say "always"? Like in the past 7 days or something? Because this has never happened to me over the past several years until today? She says "yes, it always does, step over here and it will just take a couple of minutes to test it". They are liars and have changed procedures suddenly and try to tell me it has always been this way. It is really stupid.

Hegetarian • 11 years ago

Your tax dollars at work :P Can we learn to treat our children better, please? These are the people who are going to have to clean up our mess and pay off our deficit.

patriciaredstone • 11 years ago

I belt out God Bless America when I get pat-downs - and I get them often because I refuse to go in the scanner. It makes a point that other passengers seem to appreciate. It is a legitimate public protests that appears to be protected. Before the pat down I tell the TSA agent that I'm going to sing while she does her thing and she tells me it's okay. Often, I get applause.

The purpose of terrorism is to disrupt the lives of the victims. I'd say the 9/11 terrorists succeeded very well...the entire nation is operating in panic mode, but only in reaction to the latest threat. In the military, that's called "fighting the last war," and it pretty well guarantees you're going to lose.

brew_it • 11 years ago

The TSA is not saving Americans from terrorists. They are the terrorists. They are there to condition the public to public gropings by perverts on the government payroll. To embarrass and humiliate as many citizens (or subjects now) to this as possible and laugh in your face about it. Its about control, not anti-terrorism.

Notch • 11 years ago

Poor girl had to wait for almost an hour! Oh the humanity!

Gotham • 11 years ago

Does anyone else remember 9/11 or should thousands of people die because we don’t want to upset a little girl. Terrorist have children and are willing to use them as suicide bombers just because it has not happen in America does not mean it can’t. TSA was simply doing their
job, but the mother of the girl instead of pulling out her camera could have comforted her daughter explained that they would be out of there soon. It appears from the video that they were close enough to talk. Of course that would mean that she cared about her daughter more than filing a frivolous law suit that is sure to come.

TSAisTerrorism • 11 years ago

There are more deaths by car every month than on 9/11. Are you ready for mandatory breathalyzer tests in every car, and for random checkpoints all over the place? Because that's where logic like yours leads.

Gotham • 11 years ago

I would rather be inconvenienced than dead any
day. If the law requires breathalyzer tests before driving and random check
points I would be okay with it or I would not drive.

TSAisTerrorism • 11 years ago

How sad that cowering under your covers in fear of life is considered sane. Pathetic.

Gotham • 11 years ago

Please,
don’t confuse vigilance with fear. I have an understanding of cause and effect
and a sense of personal responsibility. The mothers’ complaints lack these qualities. Complaining about TSA is trivial, when it is a choice to board a plane. There are other ways to travel.

Notch • 11 years ago

You are going to be attacked viciously for your common sense post here.

Roci • 11 years ago

+1 to Gotham and Notch.

"Bad Reporter" • 11 years ago

I will tell you what was tested positive for "bomb residue" on that little girl was the steaming stench of a that TSA boy in the pic who didn't wipe his hiny after his latest dump, ain't taken a shower for a week, and was streaming some high powered gas out of his anus after eating a 1/2 dozen big macs, 3 large fry's and 6 Hostess Twinkies he saved for desert!

Mr. Jones • 11 years ago

Our tax money hard at work folks!

Roci • 11 years ago

That is a true statement. It is hard work protecting obstinate people.

Red & Sparkly • 11 years ago

The most likely scenario is the the child's chair wheeled through something and she placed her hands on the tyres with residue transferring to her hands.

Adrian Kent • 11 years ago

I want to take this time to blame the Republicans for allowing George Bush to do this. And I want to take the time to blame the Democrats for allowing Obama to continue this. Can we agree as AMERICANS that this is just BS?! Unite over at least ONE THING?

Roci • 11 years ago

I could not disagree more. If someone tests positive for bomb residue, I hope TSA questions them.

TenTons • 11 years ago

I have been stuck in a shake down stall at a TSA check line while agents bickered , refused & ran off over who's going to shake me down.
They acted like minimum wage kiddies at an amusement park while I stood there & stood there.Idiots.

Altosk • 11 years ago

Awesome work, TSA. You managed to make a sick child cry. I feel safer now.

Also, many hand lotions give false positives for bombs. You'd think the TSA would realize that, but alas, no.

Just think, these clowns are unionized now. So, there's ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY for screw ups like this.

CharmsDad • 11 years ago

If the TSA was even PRETENDING to be competent this would result in firings (including the supervisor and the idiot who sent the response to the press.) Of course, we all know this whole organization is comprised of a bunch of inept fools who only take this job so they can push people around and abuse their authority.

CCC • 11 years ago

She was never abused or missed treated by the TSA people if you watch the video they were trying to comfort her and just doing their job and protecting the lives of others. Yes she is a child, but terrorist kill children all the time & use children as weapons to trick people. She could of picked up fertilizer out of the yard or if she had any lotion containing certain elements it will make the alarms go off and she isnt the only one who gets pulled aside.

Daniel • 11 years ago

Would it be OK if it was your child, then? Also, the TSA has not saved a single life, as they have not caught a single terrorist.

mikey • 11 years ago

my question is, if she was a possible risk to the public, then why was she kept in a public area w/ a possible bomb. I would assume a terrorist would detonate the bomb thinking they would not get a chance to use it on an airline.

yeomandroid • 11 years ago

Way to go you idiots at TSA! You are the most loathed agency in America!

Tamra Louviere • 11 years ago

I got some feedback for ya, TSA...
