Brad - would not providing great photos for a listing be irresponsible? Maybe not 10 years ago. It's great to see a forward thinking brokerage. Thad and @Properties are trying to stay ahead of their competition.
Lead. Follow. Or get left behind.
There is a big difference between "staying ahead of the competition" and being irresponsible.
Stef - It's irresponsible to not give your agents all the tools to stay ahead of the competition.
We currently use Plan Gator (http://www.plangator.com) for our interactive floor plans. It's much cooler but may be overkill for existing homes.
We just signed up with Plan Gator. This software rocks, we dumped the one that we had been using. Thanks for the link!
Sweet!
Embeddable marketing within photos..as long as it's not ads, but valuable information, awesome!
Ok that's pretty rad! :)
see? :-)
:P
Teri. You're pretty rad too
HAHA! Thanks Kirby!
Can anyone tell me if any of the solutions discussed can be used with photos submitted to Zillow, Trulia et cetera?
Professional photography is a must when marketing homes - so great to see a broker make the right decisions for all their agents
There may be no charge to seller, but, the listing agents are required to pay for it.
Still some work to do on this technology. Not sure the multiple links and page opens provide for the best user experience.
Also, thinglink seems to have executed much better in this arena.
Thank you for the feedback Greg. I agree with you, and as I noted, I think that embedded information about the photo can be utilized more effectively than multiple links and page opens.
I wasn't aware that ThingLink had launched yet. I'd love to hear about how it works if you are an early user.
Jeff, an example of an interactive floorplan on thinglink. http://www.thinglink.com/sc...
Also see opportunity to gather neighborhood tours using a variety of mediums (tweets, instagram, yelp, etc).
Agree, the multiple links and opens issue needs to be tweaked, but otherwise - really enjoying some of the early stuff people are making in this space
Thanks Greg...that is pretty cool. I totally agree with you on combining mediums to gather data. To me, the key factor is a creating an effective UX.
Jeff this is sweet. I am also thinking realtors should consider using https://www.lytro.com/camera (no affiliation)
The Lytro camera is cool for sure...you just have to be really careful about lighting and choosing where you adjust the focus if you are using this for real estate photos.
What's up Jeff! Thanks for sharing this app. It has a neat factor to it. As far as "smart photos" go, I do Local SEO work, and my suggestion would be to manually GeoTag (i.e., mark location of your real estate photos). You can add GPS Tags manually via sites like Panoramio, Flickr, Mappr and Google Earth. Good idea to also use keyword descriptive file names and provide image descriptions too.
What's up Dave! Long time.
Thanks for the additional advice...I totally agree with you.
Agree Jeff. I have some creative ideas using this tech. Thanks for the post. - Rich B.
Thanks Rich!
“It’s almost irresponsible not to make floor plans available when it’s so easy to do with VHT’s new service,” said @properties co-owner Thaddeus Wong in a statement
I have heard of guerilla marketing but wow, to blanket those who do not use the service as irresponsible is kinda irresponsible in it self. Is it not?
