Great Job Gorvenor Kidero.Corruption must be wiped out.Bravo

wakingau • 11 years ago

Kudos Governor Kidero!!!!!!!!!!!

Ken Keraro • 11 years ago

All Governors should emulate Kidero. Each County inherited the County Council Askaris famously known as Kanjos and they should be trained on how to mount parades for their leader. That way we may reduce this agitation of some Governors wanting to get into Security matters that are to be handled by the National Government.

GEORGE MBAGARA • 11 years ago

Good work Mr Governor. Kick all of them out. Wametunyonya siku nyingi sana, and the way Nairobi has potential.

ngaii • 11 years ago

Nice start Governor. There were those who used to supply chalk powder as chlorine for water treatment. Check them out too and their godfathers and show them the door to jail.

Mandy Anzazo • 11 years ago

we are with u mr governor. Nairobi needs to get its mojo back

maureen • 11 years ago

Kidero you are our guy proud of you keep it up!

jane wangari • 11 years ago

good work Mr Governor...its time this city got true leadership!!

suluhisho • 11 years ago

Apart from interdiction, suspension, investigations, inquiries, blacklisting etc we need to see someone in jail uniform and appropriate sentence for this.

Mathew Omondi • 11 years ago

Next rain on illegal developments,I support you Kidero.

wakaganda • 11 years ago

Well done dear and faithful servant So, so proud of you to be my governor! We shall pray for you if if God shall be with you, who can be against you? Fire them, even if it is my dad who is corrupt fire him and save our country!

sambusa • 11 years ago

kidero busy inspecting the notorious kanjo once they pass by in the town they think pple are there meal

sambusa • 11 years ago

kidero keep it up

nzukibee • 11 years ago

always remember the oath of office and execute your duties without fear or favour Mr. Governor.

mathiiwagathatwa • 11 years ago

Good job Mr Kidero.I know it's tough because of the longterm entrenched culture of corruption in Nairobi county, but keep on the good fight for nairobians are watching your back.

We See You • 11 years ago

Black list not only the companies BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY BLACKLIST the PEOPLE behind these companies. They'll just register new ones and get back to their well practiced antics! NAME AND SHAME IS THE NAME OF THE GAME in this anti-corruption effort!

bedan maina • 11 years ago

And you are only doing what you were elected to do, i don't see what all the hullabaloo about being effective is all about.

joe • 11 years ago

So many are elected but instead work hard to serve themselves. For example, one MP is right now burning mid night oil to come up with a motion that would throw out Salaries Remuneration Commissioners...why?...his salary of over Kshs. 500,0000 which is paid with our hard earned tax is too small and therefore demeaning!!

bedan maina • 11 years ago

Next remove all those newspapers that cover the windows of the council cars that are meant to cover the exchange of bribes when people get arrested.

Wangechi Thuiya • 11 years ago

Kudos to you Kidero..keep up the good work!!

Shisiali Matasyio • 11 years ago

Governor, urgently tackle the water scandal involving NWSC officers and water vendors where pipes are switched off to facilitate sale. In Umoja residents go for 3 weeks without water when the same water is flowing in water kiosks.

Elijah • 11 years ago

Thank you Bwana Governor for the good work. While there its also important to rein on these officer who move in pick ups and the very old green lorry harassing and extorting bribes in town. They are more of goons than county officers and they are watering down your efforts

joe • 11 years ago

Even though i was Jubillee damu in the presidential vote, i am glad that my choice for governor (Kidero) is acting and doing things as we all expected...that is being tough on suspected thieves and therefore turning around the fortunes of Nairobi County! Go, go, go, go, Kidero..we are all proud of your tough stance!

Michael • 11 years ago

Kidero, Please remove the Mkokotenis from our roads and especially at Muthurwa. Some of them even go opposite traffic and cause a lot of jam not to mention the dangers they pose to motorists. The cost to society is more than what they earn. We should insist that traders should use pick ups to collect goods from the market. Then the mkokoteni pushers can be employed as loaders.

papadeng • 11 years ago

The greatest reformer of Nairobi was John Gakuo former town clerk, people like Kidero have little mess to clean.again its too early to judge someone ,remember the likes of Karisa Maitha, they did well in three months but later bought blankets of their size as and slept.

disqus_njGIqnWLf5 • 11 years ago

Soon he will find himself corruptionalized by the city corruption squad.

844product • 11 years ago

GO KIDERO GO!

Alex Ginu • 11 years ago

Instead of the commonly flashy 600 Mercs and Range rover spotted with other governors all over the country,Mr Kidero went to the basement of City hall and restarted an old junk as the ceremonial automobile -this was to send strong message that things will not be the same again at city hall, so if u ask me I'm not surprised at all but expect more surprises. Insecurity and corruption is what gives Nairobi a bad name. This was long overdue.

rsvp5627 • 11 years ago

A new broom sweeps clean.

Kumuseno • 11 years ago

As you are doing this, always look over your shoulder for the guys who tried to bribe you.It is interesting that the DPP has not called for an investigation.Let me hope he is doing something.

oilMANIA • 11 years ago

Now I feel proud to have mobilised 5 of my family members to vote Kidero ! Kaa ngangari, chapa fimbo!

Aminimungu • 11 years ago

Kidero leave no stone un turned, corruption in kenya is a cancer that eats into development and moral fiber, you have my support 100%

Joe 1 Pack • 11 years ago

The mayor will realize Nairobi ina wenyewe.

Kennedyliech • 11 years ago

Excellent start Dr. Kidero, that's the kind of commitment we need from every leader and institution in the country - I see a sleeping giant in the name of Kenya waking up!! don't care whether you are Luo or Gikuyu as long as you perfectly do the job we as tax payers are paying you for, if you intentionally go wrong please don't count me in to vote for you in future elections. May God continue to bless you :)

sufferer • 11 years ago

GOOD START.........God bless you. Uhuru should note this and beef up his security detail. Kidero, let plain cloth police deal with hawkers and sack all those askaris that tarnish your name

Maji_Baridi • 11 years ago

The best way to go about this is by replacing most of the 'old guard' that have become accustomed to the status quo. It's the only way to make lasting change.

habari • 11 years ago

And bring in the controller of audit, controller of revenue collection, Anti corruption Unit, Kenya revenue Authority, ..Bring the full force of the national govt to every county to clear the rot..

HolomisaBantu • 11 years ago

The good Book says that you cannot get rid of an evil spirit without replacing it with a good one. Now, replace these criminals not with your own thugs but with professionals of high integrity.

ruiruark • 11 years ago

I really hope and pray he succeeds where very many have failed before. And daktari watch your back as these fellas will fight back viciously.

Ngoma • 11 years ago

Now here is the man who needs the 100 bodyguards and 20 chase cars!

Mwene Soil • 11 years ago

good job Gorv kidero. dont replace them with bad once.

sambusa • 11 years ago

not bad once is bad ones

Wambui • 11 years ago

there are two governors who are showing they are presidential material, Kidero, and Boniface Mutua. All corded fortunately.

habari • 11 years ago

When Nairobi goes the others will follow..Kidero at this rate will be the benchmark on how governors will be judged..

It appears all governors need to start with corruption as their first order of business..Because without stamping out corruption there is no money to run the county. They first need to set up systems to seal corruption once and for all..

Qwani • 11 years ago

Crack that whip without fear or favour. We need to rid ourselves of corruption completely.

Mwamba Dabo • 11 years ago

Well done Kidero ! after investigation and if they have a case to answer take them to court ! Then things are going to be more serious !!

suluhisho • 11 years ago

I am proud of this governor who I did not vote for.

Charles KH • 11 years ago

Great! Next sir, get Jubilee to do a subway from Eastlands to city and a few other lines. If Addis can do it and it has less congestion, why not Nairobi? Transport is critical to double digit growth.

Patel V'tendrawilly • 11 years ago

A great sign of things and reforms to come.

DNjogu • 11 years ago

Go Governor! Clean the whole of NBI
