How did you know there were 20 names? What did Waki suggest we do with the names?
Kenyans are trying to convince the world that we all good Christian, that is a joke and we know it from hour hearts we are not, only few practice and majority warship power and money
we are a God fearing nation.why do you doubt us
God fearing enough for some to kill His creation without remorse and God fearing enough to turn a blind eye to the victims.
Yes Kenyans will be surprised like the land case - sold to DP to a 6 years old girl, no proof of purchase, no legal documents, kept for almost 9 years, fine 5 millions and you are free to continue to be a DP hureeee - Kenyan justice- for the The rich and powerful
The ICC issue is a personal affair concerning the accussed and the so called victims. What we want from the government is to bring development. Any way. our prayers are with the trio and all kenyans.
We won't be surprised Mr. Ruto! Seeing you escorted in handcuffs is long overdue!
God is interested in converting sinners..even Saul was a murderous thug turned to St.Paul..the victims including kiambaa survivors have forgiven the perpetrators..even Mr.Watermelon forgave his "baptiser"..maisha iendelee
Eh! So God cannot answer the prayers of the victims of post election violence in Kenya?
Wapi! This grand standing on impunity committed is nothing but cosmetic fear.
What everyone seems to forget it is not just those who called for this action, murder whatever you wish to call it much more saddening is that people were EAGER to do these foul deeds To take a machete to a long standing neghbour with whom they had no previous greivance or to set fire to people in churches to happily rape people just like themselves with familly and children This is a sad reflection of the Kenyan people
Of the accused, I would pray for Sang. He is lonely, abandoned, relatively poor, and forgotten by the political class. Otherwise my prayers remain with the victims - those raped, orphaned, widowed or widowers, displaced, and the souls of those who paid with their dear lives so that the politicians can make mince meat of them. The same God that the 'bishops, pastors, communities pray for so that WR and UK can be freed is the same one that saw the horrors the victims went through.
Ruto exuded confidence that God will fight for them and the charges will be cleared. the same God will fight for the victims of the ICC
The victims can only depend on God to give them justice - men are evil to the core.
Governors are boasting about witnesses not being found? what is wrong with that picture?
Please, surprise me. I am so eager to be surprised.
Sadly it appears like the political opponets of President Uhuru and Ruto are hoping that the ICC will lock them up even if there is no evidence to back up the allegations of BenChampo! We have prayed and helped the victims of PEV for the last decade. But we are now commanded by God to pray for the kings, and those in authority that we may live quiet and peaceful lives. Kenyans who lost the election, dont try to use the ICC to stage a regime change. In light of the fact that Mau Mau, and Maji Maji colonial genocides have not yet been litigated and settled, I find the rush to litigate these allegations more based on the possibility of affecting a regime change, than truly finding justice for the African. Infact as long as the Queen of England is untouched for her colonial crimes against humanity, then any effort by the ICC to prosecute Ruto now is seen as suspect and an effort of political ambitions. The case should actually be defferred to a later time after Ruto and Uhuru are out of the presidency so that the motives of the prosecutor are not clouded or influenced by the political forces seeking to affect a regime change in Kenya. Pray4Kenya Pray4Ruto
i concur.even if they are locked up we will still vote in the same manner we voted last march
Such dribble
What are you really trying to say Mr Ssempa?
"Kenyans who lost the election.." We should be advocating for justice for those who lost their lives. Dr. Ssempa you even suggest that the case should be defferred... What an irony! Are you suggesting that those who died while some people were strategizing for power should be forgotten? Give justice a chance. The killings had no resemblance to Maji Maji or Mau Mau because those two rebellions were against the colonizer. The killings during PEV were unnecessary.
When Uhuru and Ruto vied for the offices they hold they knew ICC cases were pending, therefore why wait until they exit their positions? The victims are crying for justice and justice delayed is justice denied.
are you suggesting they should not have stood for election?
Ala! He has started speaking in code just like Bensouda said he was during the violence.
Who prays for the 1000+ that were killed by his tribesmen who were clearly hired to kill as many Kikuyu as they could find?
This is a publicity show for ICC. That is why the venue is central Kenya!
I quote "it is just like a movie" I unquote.
I quote "wakenya watashangaa"
Your Excellency DP, my humble view is that it is not the ICC trial proceedings that will surprise Kenyans. Rather, it is how we will "manage" the proceedings and the outcome of the trial that could "surprise" Kenyans.
interesting....Bwana DP do you know how many MPIGS you left in Netherlands and why they travelled there in the first place...whom are they supporting n you are in Kenya addressing the crowd to pray for you ''two'' ..am I missing something
On whose side is God exactly. The victims or the criminal suspects. Could it be the devil at work
there is a difference between a criminal and a suspect
I personally do not believe in ICC. Once they have pursued Bush and Blair over Iraq, then they can go after other people. The Western World think very high of themselves and still believe that they are superior to the rest of us "Third World". Look at how Obama is throwing tantrums over Syria. If he thinks that it is wrong of Asad killing his people, who gives him a right to think that it is right for him to go to Syria and drop a "few bombs". Two wrongs do not make a right". Njeri Muigai-May
the truth is, some people lost their lives, I can't forget those whole were burnt to death in church, all the rest is politics. may God always watch on them and one day bring justice to what was done to them.
You know the very neat thing about whole this case? LOL, we are very mad at Bensouda, and Ocampo and ICC....we foaming and frothing at the mouth! Baying for their blood as if they are actually the ones who maimed and plundered!!!!!!!! With the help of the very fellows who lost life and limb, we are singing hallelujah~we have one of our own as president! Meanwhile, Ocampo Bensouda, ICC who were not really here in 07 and 08, none of them lost limb or house!!! None of them bled :) none of them was raped and forcefully evicted :)))) and they will go back to their homes after this case is done whatever the outcome!! What is even more exciting is the fact that, well, just a few of the fellows who were evicted and lived in tents for five years received a token from mtukufu to put their lives in order, just because mtukufu is going to be guest at the Hague in a month or two.....but what is even more dumbfounding to them is that, none, (zilch) 0 people have been held accountable for their woes and to sweeten it even better, (prosecutions resulting from the mayhem of 07/08 = 0 ) the Kenyan Legislature has voted to pull out of ICC soonest....Uhuruto, are in power yes, and may be skirmishes are not there now, but the geezers will not be here forever to enforce what they think they can, if anything things in Kenya are still as precarious if not more than they were in 2007/8....so with no accountability, no ICC in the future, we can sing even more louder Hallelujahs because Kingdom is nigh :))))))))))
Maybe Mr Ruto will also be suprised It is not always the runner who seems to be in the lead at the beginning of the race that goes on to win !
As for divine intervention that is a dangerous request as it can backfire
So what happens if Kenyans do not pray.....?
what ever verdict emerges from the ICC trials one thing for certain is Kenyans lost lives and some became displaced for a disputed election in 2007, i hate the fact that the victims have been forgotten and people seem to be more sympathetic to the accused, I am not in a position to say who is guilty or innocent, but i hope the 2007 clashes become a cornerstone and a reminder that we Kenyans should never allow ourselves to be brainwashed by our politicians to attack our very fellow country men, there are better days ahead and a bright future for everyone to live in peace and harmony
How about prayers for the victims as well.!!!!!!!!!!
As a nation, we need to pray for these three members of our society. I wonder why these people are made to carry the cross for the sinful nation its unfair. The nation needs to repent each individual member should repent and repent for the nation too. Making these three suffer for Kenya will serve no good at all since. Each an every member of this society called kenya should do a soul search and seek devine guidance and not to smear and tear down one onother no. It appears some individuals are still bitter with some other issues outside of what is facing our three brothers at the hague they appear to be bitter about something unknown to me. Let us understand that we belong to the same country we are brothers ans sisters and we must embrace one another. People need to take a tour to even a neibouring country and be there for sometime and thats when one will trully thank God for Kenya. That would undoubtedly be the begining of full transformation and a change to attitude some people have about our country Kenya. May God bless Kenya.
This is crazy talk from a person invoking God's name, are you not aware more than 1300 Kenyans were killed during the PEV, are you saying if a brother kills a brother he should not face the law? Please don't worship politicians and the mighty as God is for us all, let us pray for the victims and the suspects alike so that justice may prevail.
It takes long for some people to learn. The DP and the president have stuck on an arrogance stance even when they see what kuwa mpole did to Kosgey and Ali. It is their own arrogance and combative style that will hit them. I certainly pray for the many victims of the violence and I know it is the right thing having experienced it. I may remember Sang, for he is lonely and needs the prayers more. The other two have the money, the govt, the power, the wealth, the support not only from mpigs, their tribesmen and those seeking political favours, but also from despots across Africa. And then there are the 'bishops and pastors' who pray for them. However, the God we pray to is the same one for the victims. And He takes his position as He wishes but is certainly not a God of injustice even if He allows it to strive for a while.
You couldn't have put it any better, GREAT PIECE OF INSIGHT.
Why do terrible things and say it is in the name of God? God has His own standard of judgment. He rules over the affairs of men.
terrible things according to whose gospel?
People wake up.who does pray for the victims?,This the only country in the world where people pray for the accused, who are very rich men,out to outdo their political opponents with and through ICC funny prayer meetings tours mixed with politics of hatred. What happens to the still living and the dead victims, now that we need prayers to remain in power so that we donot kill eachother because of power, and land grabbing?.
Who lost lives and who lost property? Looks like nobody and we are very happy today. Let this ICC thing cramble, who cares now? I dont and I am OK with that as long as Ruto is a hero in mt Kenya region. The ICC propaganda flourish in Kenya like flowers on a rich soil. This' now the foundation of politics in Kenya, it is a vehicle to win elections. Only God has answers to this Nation called Kenya, not human beings whose hearts and mind are very unpredicatble to tell.
The truth is what Uhuru and Ruto were fearing could come out and that is why they wanted the case terminated. Already some has been revealed
nothing has been revealed.we have only the story from the first witness who is yet to link the kiambaa arson to the accused.there will also be the rebuttal from the defense.there will also be eyewitnesses from the defense who may want to test her alibi.wait for the drama
When uhuruto call for prayers they leave Sang's name but not by accident.all can remember that sang supported Raila's CORD in March elections and to them he does not 'qualify' for any prayers.A move really.
Someone please explain to me how the OTP cut down the 20 perpetrators from the Waki envelope to 6. What criteria was used and how is it that a native who knew more than Ocampo would put 14 wrong peopel in his list? Who were the 14? This whole thing could be a sham after all.
