While I always hate to see a newspaper die, the Boston Phoenix had moved to a position way past relevance. You can not sell papers if no one connects to the stories you choose to print.

Back in the Sixties and Seventies I read Boston After Dark, and when they merged with the Phoenix I read The Real Paper until it closed, . I only picked up the Phoenix in the Nineties after Dodge Morgan sold The Maine Times

Now it appears I am the only one left to attend the funeral.
