It's legal in Maine as long as you don't use them to committ a crime.
Wasn't questioning legality, was wondering if it's common. It just seems a little strange.
So your name is really feingold-in-2016? It would seem to me that almost everyone on this site is using "aliases."
This ain't the "real world" Mr Katz. ;D
Met a Man in Maine who said he had 7 different ones.
weird ,that you would know that ...yeah I'd be suspicious of anyone having multiple aliases(and question why?)
An alias is neither good or bad, it is how the alias is used that determines that.
For example a women gets married so now she could be known legally by two different names, her maiden name and her married name on different bills/debts or she gets divorced and has different names as well.
Radio show host names like Ric Tyler, or others are aliases. (-;
Can you use aliases to apply for different EBT cards?
Or OXY scrips ?
What seems strange to me is the fact, that his wife was driving the Uhaul, they were living with Lewis at one time. To me it looks like she is tied into the murder somehow.
Whoever kills a child molester has done the rest of society a favor.
Thou Shalt Not Kill is obviously far less important a Commandment to today's Christians than Thou Shalt Oppose Same-Sex Marriage.
Completely separate issue from same sex marriage. When an adult rapes a child, they deserve the death penalty. Period.
So you advocate the death penalty to be carried out by any armed vigilante in the neighborhood? To me that sounds like murder, plain and simple. As awful a crime as the rape of a child is, the taking of a human life is a worse crime still, especially to anyone who believes in God's power to forgive and redeem the souls of sinful humans.
Yes, I do. Raping a child is worse than murder because the rapist tortures the child and, subsequently, takes the child's innocence. That child then suffers for the rest of their life. The child's entire family also suffers for the rest of their lives. I know from what I speak. A prosecutor I once knew said that she and many in law enforcement feel murderers and child molestors both deserve the death penalty. With the recidivism rate of child rapists, the person who killed this child molester likely saved other children from his horrific torture later.
Seems difficult for the BDN "journalists" to call this Lawrence Lewis a child molester, which he was.
I might have missed something, but did they ever say the reason the U-Haul was stopped in the first place?
There was some mention in previous stories about the cops going to two motels earlier that day. Maybe the investigation started with a report of a possible burglary at the Lewis residence. They haven't told us what was in the truck yet.
Thanks! I thought I had read all the article on this, but don't remember ever reading the reason for the stop initially.
Instead of dragging that poor child thru the mud in every article, why don't the tell us the reason for the traffic stop? I think by now we are all well aware there was a child molested by Lewis - but what about something new there BDN?
What is "lengthy and complicated" about it?? The man who admitted to murdering the other man committed suicide. Case closed.
Job security for the "gold ole boys".
The Search of Robert Carlson home was not done because we wanted to give the country sheriffs deparment time to distroy any evidence prior to maybe deciding on a search of his computers.
Irrelevant post is irrelevant.
And this has to do what with the story at hand?
comparison of how different people are treated
Sick is sick in any language. Just to incomprehensible to comment.
What a waste of time. The victim and the perpetrator are both dead. Move on to solve a crime with a perp who is still on the streets.
Good grief this is almost unreadable. Full of irrelevant, distracting information (knit cap.
Complicated investigation made worse by awful reporting.
Is the couple having multiple aliases a little strange, or is that just me?
