Excited....I just ordered my copy of THE Robert D's new book.
This is excellent, I love it. Dust yourself off and keep moving forward.
I actually got this same exact advice from my father when I first started my career in sales about 25 years ago! He was a highly respected Regional Sales Manager for a large Insurance Company and he knew what he was talking about! It really works! I was once asked why I handle rejection so easily. i told them ( and it's true) "I have 11 older brothers. I knew more about rejection by the time I was twelve than most people could ever learn in a lifetime!!" Great training ground for a fearless salesperson! Thanks for posting, Robert. Hope to hear more from you in the future. Here's to a lot of "nos" in 2013!!
Almost makes you want to go out and get rejected...or at least realize it is worth the effort to pursue what you know is right. Love it...thanks.
Great article Robert! Unique approach in going after enough "no's" that the "yes's" show up in the process. Think I'll give that a try. By the way, you wouldn't be interested in a LegalShield plan, would you? .)
My new breakfast meal is "no"s. Thank you. Just 'thank you'.
Well Robert it was about that time 30 years ago that we hung out together... We have all come along way. We once gave Andy a surprise birthday party at my my garage apartment in Birmingham....Andy was on the road so you brought a picture of him and hung it up. Do you remember that? Judy lives in Birmingham now and I live in Dothan. Love reading Andy's books with our church bookclub. Great to connect with friends from years past.
Ha, that's great, Terri! Glad you're still enjoying Andy's work!
When my daughters were selling Girl Scout cookies, I told them that every person who said 'no' just ment they were that much closer to finding the person who would say yes. They were top sellers most of the time too, since they did not give up.
God's timing never fails to amaze me. Yesterday I got a rejection that for some reason has really hurt my feelings despite it not being a personal issue. I have a new perspective on "no's" now and will keep trying. Thanks for a wonderful post!
Something amazing is waiting for you Christine! Good luck!
Thank-YOU, Christine!
Excellent post! Thanks for sharing Robert with us, Andy. I'm headed over to his place.
Thanks, Shellie! Come on over! :-)
I love this!!! I'm glad you took thirty years of "no" from your manager to get this. :) Very timely, as I'm just starting out on the journey of "no"s. They may not taste very good for breakfast, but a girl's gotta eat. Bring 'em on!
Great comment; I'm going to get some breakfast!!!!
Thanks, Karen! Keep eating 'em up, sister!
Now this is some perspective and a half (plus twenty eight and a half).
Thank you for the view for Robert.
K, bye
