Is this how the tank is cleaned up and the coral moved around?
https://files.explore.org/s...

Yes to both. Everything has to be done by hand and with some regularity.

Does the turtle have a name? I think he should have one!

Yes he does!!! The turtle in Shark Lagoon is Theo. He's an Olive Ridley.

Mr. Turtle is wondering where his cave is
https://files.explore.org/s...

Turtle house is now front right (Sat - 2/10).

yes, I noticed things were changed up. How long does it take to clean the tank and do divers go in and move things around?

Depending on what we're doing - sometimes we have to clean the sand which is time-consuming - a pair of divers will go in for an hour or so to clean. But that's usually not enough time for the entire exhibit, so this happens a few days each week. And yes, all of the repli-corals you see can be removed from the exhibit for deeper cleaning and then can be re-positioned when they;re put back in. Nothing is permanently mounted to the bottom.

thanks very much for the information

Looks like it's all the way back right.

What type of fish is this grey one?
https://files.explore.org/s...

That's a Humpnose Unicornfish. (Pix is same species but from a different exhibit.) https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

I did not want to photograph the 2 cleaning in there. But wow. What an amazing job you have. Kudos to you both!! 😁

Did things get moved around in the lagoon? Mr. Turtle's house is not where is was
https://files.explore.org/s...

Yes. We routinely remove some of the repli-coral pieces - including the turtle house - from the exhibit so that we can do a good cleaning. of them while not underwater. So the turtle house will be back in the exhibit at some point in a week or so.

Hey, guys, one of the zebra sharks keeps wriggling against the coral (i think that's what it is — the vegetation in front of the camera) as if they were itchy. Is that normal? Are they playing or do they need some kind of medical attention?

Normal behavior. Sometimes they are literally just scratching an itch.

Who is the little fella in the bottom middle with the loongg nose?
https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

That's one of the Spotted Unicornfish.
