Niraakar Patel could have spared us reading all the BS by simply summarizing the whole thing in a short sentence: "FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS BAD: RAGA GOOD, NAMO BAD."

Quote "The number of people who are willing to look askance at what he has actually done in Gujarat and concentrate on what he says (or what they think he says) is quite remarkable. It shows we are a nation of the helpless, what is better expressed in Hindi as bechara" Unquote...We are not a helpless nation Aakar. We are a civilization with highest tolerance and a beilef system that is eternally optimistic. This can never be understood by all these politicians, mediocre media guys, self appointed povertarians/secularists/what-not (all of these left/center/left or right of center ideologues). I wonder how bad a drubbing should these people witness to be able to sink the real feeling of us Inidans..May be there should be a political movement to nullify all of these above political parties and throw out the media cohots.

Can someone write a software program that automatically deletes articles of Aakar PAtel before it gets published anywhere in the Universe?

what Patel says is on the ball. Rahul is different from the past he beyond to and wants to change it. he has FAILED at that and had been slow. he will pay the price for loss. but hear him speak. he is smart and he knows change needs to go down to the lowest level i.e. the people. we need to change be more active citizens and so going one government will fix India. and I say this from working on the Ed problem in our underprivileged schools from assisting a politician on policy and from seeing bureaucracy. we deserve a better government only if we start changing things ourselves. and all Rahul says is that. subtle, maybe politically daft, likely no election winner, equally likely bad politician but hey not dumb, a fool or dynastic

@livemint : why do you publish him ? For some sort of 'balance' in political coverage ? He is embarrassing and not to the quality I come to your site for..

'Ghastly middle-class devotees'! Really Mr Patel!! What an awful phrase. Besides, which strata of society to you think you belong to you patrician punk??

hari_parmeshwar • 10 years ago

Change is the only unchanging phenomenon. Things will surely change in 2004. But for better or worse, time alone can say. Extreme communalists like Aurangazeb have ruled this country in the past. But times have changed. No one who rules the country now can afford to be a communalist.

Patel is obsessed with Congress, the first family and is a lifelong sycophant of the two. So no article can do without a mention of the contribution of this family and how it is irreplaceable. In all the unintelligible talk of Rahul, Patel can discern a profound meaning! When defeat is near certain, Patel can take comfort that after a while, the family will be back in power again. If Opposition rules for a term or two, and when the back of family rule is broken in the states as well by clones of aam aadmi party, Gandhi will be either forgotten or out of scene comfortably living on the skimmed wealth of the nation in some foreign climes. And Patel will continue to chant Rahul-nama...

"Ghastly middle class "???? Now now Mr.Patel can you write even one column without being offensive? Or is it that being offensive gives more page clicks and comments and you are paid by the number of clicks and comments? Also FYI ghanchis are very smart people who don't have fixed price system. They have stood up against the BIG Bazaars And other large chains and emerged successful .
Of course fault lies with state. If state was more efficient we would have more colleges as per the demand.
And are you sure about the one fourth PARSI part.....?
