Americans were the most generous people on the planet until this administration created their "forced" charity. Now we cannot even afford to feed ourselves. Charity and good will does not spring forth from government especially when they demand we give the fruits of OUR labor to those they deem worthy.

Both my wife and daughter would not be with me today if not for more than a few of those God sent miracles.Whether you know it or not you likely have miracles occurring in your life as well. Stay True to yourself and He will guide you. The doors aren't open for us to see what lies beyond, we have to turn the knob and enter to see what opportunities reside within the next room.

I totally agree with you. Communism does not work. The government will eventually run out of OUR money. My idea of "sharing the wealth" is that we all have the same opportunities to acquire our own wealth. There's enough to go around without taking it (through government, corruption, crooked deals, or otherwise bad karmic actions) from someone else who earned it through their own labors and ideas. dj on the other hand believes we who work for what we have "owe" it to those who refuse to work for what they receive. Life ain't fair and nobody, not even God owes anyone a single thing.

That's OK, W. R.; but, we straightened the signals and are on the same page. Marxists like Barry twisted the Gospels; Jesus never forced sharing on people; He taught them about sharing goods among their less fortunate neighbors, especially widows and orphans.

On the other hand, Communists simply sent their militias into towns and villages and seized whatever assets their victims possessed; the Holodomor of 1932-34 under Josef Stalin is one of the worst cases. Some 9 million Ukranians were murdered and their farms seized, merely because (1) they were Christians, and (2) they were hiding food to feed their families.

It would seem that it's open season on Christians once again. We aren't what we once were as many of us identify ourselves as Soldiers of the Christ. We understand that it's our privilege to protect those who are unable or unwilling to protect themselves.
