Who hates Jews? The far left, the far right and the pig-ignorant. Plus pretty much all of the followers of that delightful religion that we won't mention. What use are they to a country? What do they produce that is of value? F*** all. The Jews on the other hand, have a long history of arriving in a country, enriching it and then being persecuted for it. A decent country that wants to be successful should welcome them and try to keep those with anti-Semitic beliefs out.

A player makes a career-changing tackle and gets away with it or at most gets a tap on the wrist, whilst a players makes a silly sign or says something at the heat of the moment and it can go on for months.

I personally never heard of this quenelle and I'm sure it escaped most people who were watching the match.

Now thanks to the media, Sweet FA and various activist groups clamouring for attention and public funding we all know.

Well done all involved! Give extremists all the publicity they wouldn't otherwise get.

A man spends his life eulogising Stalin and excusing his monstrous crimes and is treated as a hero by the BBC and the leader if the Opposition.

Anybody explain that?

Major Icewater • 10 years ago

You'll have to ask those fellows in the BBC; they're the ones with the useless Politics degrees that prevent them from doing anything usueful.

thammond65 • 10 years ago

Please change "slither" to "sliver".

Otherwise interesting stuff. The way the anti-semitism of the international Left became a key plank of the national Left in the 1930s is often denied by the modern Left.

Is Anelka a Muslim?

lizzydripping • 10 years ago

Strangely the media has mentioned at every opportunity that the owner of Zoopla is Jewish but not that N Anelka might belong to an organisation that has anti-Semitic views.

Scradje • 10 years ago

Yes. He is a convert.

brillopad1 • 10 years ago

Revert.

The_Common_Potato • 10 years ago

Worse, he a footballist.

lizzydripping • 10 years ago

Anti-establishment? What gripe has N Anelka got against the establishment? The establishment hasn't hampered his aims in life.

thammond65 • 10 years ago

Well to be fair, you don't have to have been a victim if the Establishment to feel that the Establishment treats people unfairly.

I'm not Jewish but think anti-semitism is wrong.

lizzydripping • 10 years ago

Well, also to be fair, I don't see N Anelka as a champion for the underdogs.

anneallan • 10 years ago

I don't see him as a champion for anyone with more than a couple of brain cells.
Under fascism, he certainly wouldn't be earning squillions for kicking a ball around.

Two ideas that were very popular on the Left, assimilationism and universalism, both admirable in many ways . . . In the 19th century the Left hoped to dissolve Jewish peoplehood in the solvent of progressive universalism.

Now it is not just white Jews who are to be dissolved in the solvent of progressive universalism, but the entire white race . . .

I know, I know . . . According to state ideology, there isn't supposed to be any such thing as RACE. Only, reality suggests otherwise, and that it IS important. Not in the way that genuine racists (racial supremacists) believe it is, but because central to any deep and meaningful sense of both personal and group, i.e. national, identity. Which is why the state, which legitimises itself, its political elite, and the immense power they wield, by deceitfully posing as our nation itself, is so desperate to deny and suppress it.

I think we can understand anti-Semitism and the Holocaust far better if we see them as a consequence, not of "racial hatred", but of racial self-hatred. European Jews, after all, are just a particular tribe of "white men". Unless they dress as Jews, I certainly can't tell them apart form other Europeans.

The whole idea of "racial hatred" is misconceived, seems to me. The only people I have ever hated have been members of my own race. And looking at British and European history, what I see is far, far more evidence for racial self-contempt and self-hatred than for hatred against non-Europeans, i.e. non-whites. When white British imperialists were exploiting non-whites in Africa and Asia, they were also sending the children of their own (white) brethren into mines and factories, deporting them to Australia, or countless other acts of inhumanity, which are bad enough against anyone, but far worse, it seems to me, against your OWN.

Thanks for the link, which is very interesting. However, just because the lady saying that "Jews will play a leading role in multicultural Europe" is herself a Jew, doesn't mean that she is speaking for ALL Jews. She might just as easily have been a Gentile, saying that some other religious group would play the same role.

I've know too many Jews to see them as anything other than fellow Europeans, many of whom, like many non-Jews, are contemptuous of their own racial identity.

The thing is, denying and being contemptuous of one's own race, if you are white (whether Jew or Gentile), is not just fashionable, but a moral imperative incorporated into state ideology, just as in medieval times Church ideology was. Both ideologies have much in common and serve the same power-political role of facilitating social intimidation and control, by demonising certain, perfectly healthy, aspects of human nature.

The notion of "original sin" has been replaced with that of "racism" (= racial prejudice = the natural human inclination to identity with members of one's own tribe, i.e. race or ethnic group), which only submission to state ideology and authority can save us from eternal damnation for, not as heathens and heretics, as in the past, but as "bigots" and "racists".

You could, of course, replace "Zionist" with "banker". It would explain the Left's unhinged hatred for them.

bob3 • 10 years ago

If we were all protected from the mildest criticism like the Jews are then some people would use that to great advantage.
