So very sorry to hear what happened to your beloved Ollie we who love our dogs send our love to you.. The rotten person that did this to poison any animal ought to be punished. The manufacturers could put in a additive that would make it unpalatable to animals I understand and it would not cost a lot.

Was the owner WITH the dog? Did he actually WATCH HIM drink from that bowl of "slimy water"?? I cannot FATHOM how he could have ALLOWED Ollie to drink one more sip once he saw him drinking out of a bowl that wasn't one HE provided for him. I, OF COURSE, feel so sad about this situation, yet I feel that the owner was EXTREMELY unwise.

Ollie was off the lead. He ran up a bank, I followed as quickly as possible but he'd drank half the bowl by the time I got there. Please keep your ill-informed, thoughtless comments to yourself. Our hearts have been broken and your rubbish is deeply upsetting.

When walking the dogs in the woods next to Ruislip Lido the other day, I saw a sign warning that poisoned meat had been found off the path. It's frightening because it's impossible to fully protect a dog that's off the lead. I didn't see the sign until the end of my walk.

My heart goes out to this couple. Losing a beloved pet is hard at anytime but when it is through the actions of some other thoughtless person that is incomprehensible. I hope you take comfort that Ollie was your friend and had a good life with you
