I am just getting started with the coffee enemas by giving myself two a day in preparation for beginning the full therapy June 1st. I've been making the coffe concentrate and then diluting the 8oz of concentrate in 24oz of distilled water. Because I'm only doing two a day I have some left over (3 more 8oz jars of concentrate). Does the coffee need to be fresh everyday? If not, does it need to be stored in the fridge, and then of course brought back up to room temp before installing? Thanks so much.

I do not suggest if one has colon cancer you do this is your blockage is more advanced. Gas is a problem already and the pain is horrific. you girls suggested not to do this for colon cancers and we agreed but all else is fine. Love and appreciate the produce Jesus and God made together before all humans were made.  Praise be to the one true God who saved your father Max Gerson so he would have such a legacy as this.   Thanks for answering many of my questions on the.

My Husband and I are using the Gerson Diet/Therapy as a means to be healthy and for prevention. We just started and are still learning :) we do not have any severe medical conditions. Are the coffee enema's something we need to do alomg with following the diet/therapy? If so, how often?

GersonInstitute • 11 years ago

Hi Galina! As the Gerson Therapy is a treatment specifically designed for treating chronic degenerative diseases, we don't have a full protocol for preventative health. However, we've written up some general nutritional guidelines, that also have tips about coffee enemas, juicing and other aspects of the Gerson Therapy that you can apply to everyday life. Check it out here: http://gerson.org/gerpress/...

Can't the patient just use a butt plug if they can't hold the enema on their own? I'm not trying to be facetious or anything but in a case like this where treatment is life or death I would try anything at my disposal. And a plug with a little bit of flax seed oil on it so it would slide in better might not be such a bad idea to help the detox regimen along.

Can I do more than one enema in an hour if my first one did not work correctly? I was unable to hold the coffee in no more than a few minutes and only evacuated coffee no stool like I have before. I

Dear Sir/Madam,

In all the past years, I have used organic coffee just like the drinking coffee for my enema, which has very strong pure coffee smell after boiling for 10 mins. this time I bought a product from Canada, called HI-therapy coffee, origanic , it looks pale grey in power, and does not smell coffee smell at all after boiling for 10 mins. Can you advise how I should use this coffee please?
with gratitude,

Hi Eva! Do you mean the SA Wilson's "green coffee"? We don't recommend using that kind, an organic light-to-medium roast blend is best.

Can you explain why? SA Wilson Coffee was recommended to me for liver detox.

Here are a couple additional tips:  I find if I get some movement in my feet (wiggle my toes or wobbling my ankels) when I first feel the pressure, I can much more easily breath through the "waves" and they eventually subsides.  Also, if I try to do anything mindy (checking email on my phone, texting, concentraing on a problem, etc), I'm more apt to trigger the need for early evacuation.

I read that digestive enzymes are part of the Gerson protocol. Are they absolutely necessary, because I am highly allergic to all digestive enzymes, plant and animal based. They case inflammation in my sinuses, ears and larynx.

I am having trouble "holding it" for the entire 12-15 once the enema is finished. I get to about 8 minutes a it feels like a huge gas pocket develops in my stomach. It sends me "running" to evacuate.

I just did my first one, and I flew to the toilet after a minute. Then I reconnected and finished the bucket. I was able to hold that for about 7 mins. I had the bucket too high and the coffee may have been too warm.

Why do you not recommend SAWilson's coffee. I have been using it for years and would like you feed back on it. Sara

GersonInstitute • 11 years ago

Hi Sara! Charlotte and the doctors at the licensed clinics did try out the "green coffee" years ago but they did not feel it was as effective as a regular organic light/medium roast coffee.

Thanks for these tips. The point about keeping the bucket less that 18" makes so much sense. I'll be sure to adjust this when I do my enemas tomorrow. I also appreciate the tip about the breathing.
