Nobody watches the MSM anymore except those stuck in waiting rooms.

Nobody reads newspapers for news anymore, just the ads and local news. Even the New York Times, the supposedly greatest newspaper that ever was, can only sell about 2 million issues a day.

In 2016 the MSM committed suicide, jumped the shark.

blondethinker • 8 years ago

I don't give a wit about what some pompous so-called journalists thinks, they have no influence
here and never have but-----
I buy a newspaper every Sunday. I take out the coupon section and throw the rest away. The
savings from the coupons triple what I spent on the newspaper. I know I can download the coupons
and print them, but the coupons savings would not even meet the cost of printer ink.

MERIDUS • 8 years ago

I stopped getting newspapers 15 years ago,I stopped watching the local news even for sports scores now that I can get them online. I hope the sponsors wake up to that fact.

AugustineThomas • 8 years ago

The less we buy into their nonsense and read their garbage publications, the less power they have over us. (Everyone should read/reread Lord of the Rings. Obama, Clinton or whoever the next Chief Globalist might be, is Saruman, the mainstream media is Wormtongue and we're Rohan. Trump just might be Théoden.)

lmjenn • 8 years ago

I need to re-read that book...it's been ages...

Htos1av • 8 years ago

That was "required" reading in 9th grade for me, in old English lit(1973). Smart teachers make for smart graduates.

Derbydoll • 8 years ago

Rohan got fairly hammered by 10,000 Orcs, I seem to recall. Why not move to Lothlorien like I did?

AugustineThomas • 8 years ago

I'm Scotch-Irish and Irish. We stay and fight even when we know we're losing.

Honest John • 8 years ago

A MAJOR component to the demise of newspapers as a source of "news" (OK, propaganda) is the reliance on "news suppliers" such as AP - great idea POORLY executed because of the OBVIOUS bias of their "journalism majors" - all cut from the same leftist liberal cloth - how else would they graduate from such fine institutions as Columbia???

jwden123 . • 8 years ago

AP is pure crap. As is Reuters and the NYT. .

THEFREDFONG • 8 years ago

The problem is 30% of Americans follow pop culture media and don't have the curiosity to seek anything with depth. We need to educate these people...by word of mouth.
I don't have a TV...I reject Hollywood....and the MSM

blondethinker • 8 years ago

There is a TV in the man garage aka man cave where my husband and his dad watch Nascar
No TV in the house at all

Honest John • 8 years ago

You're a kick... fun to read... thanks for taking the time.

Joann • 8 years ago

You're always thinkin' Blondie!

RoadRunner • 8 years ago

That's Eli Wallach's line in Fist Full of Dollars

Htos1av • 8 years ago

On a side note: Sure wish Clint would make ONE more episode, like Wayne did with The Shootist.

Honest John • 8 years ago

Compare to the opinions of the majority of our entertainment elites.... Talk about a mental vaccum!!! Maybe the overabundance of ego compensates??? Naw...

Paul Kersey • 8 years ago

You sound like a smart shopper - I might even put you on the smart-blondes list ! Which btw is very short !

blondethinker • 8 years ago

Well you know there is only one blonde joke, the rest are all true. :>P
Have a nice day

Honest John • 8 years ago

My very favorite... Two blondes sunning on a Texas beach... One asks the other: Which is farther away, the moon or Florida? The answer... Well, can you see Florida from here???

blondethinker • 8 years ago

For me that's easy I live in Florida

Blonde Gator • 8 years ago

Good one, lady!

USAForever48 • 8 years ago

I quit the newspaper around here long time ago. But I do miss the Sunday coupon pages. Might have to get the Sunday paper again for just the coupons. You've got me thinking, too, blondethinker!!!

jrford • 8 years ago

Like you, we get the Sunday paper for the ads. I just grab the Harbor Freight coupons and I'm good.

Spychiatrist • 8 years ago

I buy the paper because it's cheaper than toilet paper.

I used to buy "news" papers for the crossword puzzles. But you can do them online now.

Tccd • 8 years ago

I smack my puppy with a rolled up newspaper when he pees on the floor. Now he growls when ever a liberal walks by.

American Freeman • 8 years ago

Which means you are still financing them. Are the coupons worth helping them spread their propaganda?

John Phillips • 8 years ago

The rest of the paper is good for starting my charcoal.

jksu2 • 8 years ago

Same here. The ads and coupons are worth the paper. However, I do want to read the local, county, and State news/issues as well.

Patrick Burton • 8 years ago

Save the rest to do projects on, that's what I do.

The Dog • 8 years ago

I like the funnies!
Though my local USAToday paper keeps reducing the enjoyable content.

tess • 8 years ago

i read the comic section! THEN throw away the rest !

Professor Fate • 8 years ago

You can read all the syndicated newspaper comic's on line in one place at your leisure.

peter hoefsmit • 8 years ago

newspaper is good for lining birdcages and starting up the wood stove

bob333 • 8 years ago

I use newspaper to wipe the oil out of the pan when I change my car oil. I don´t buy the newspaper, though.

Firestar45 • 8 years ago

It's also great for cleaning windows. The pumice in newsprint ink is a terrific micro-abrasive.

jwden123 . • 8 years ago

My grandmother used to do that. She used a mix of water and vinegar and the newspaper to clean her windshield.

roger owens • 8 years ago

Notice that 'leftists' never demand open borders, 'diversity or mass immigration into any non white population anywhere.

Why is that? What is their real goal?

Its #Anti White #White Geno Cide

slobotnavich • 8 years ago

Like my Firestar .45, the best compact autoloader ever made. Pity that Star and Llama went tits up, along with the rest of the Spanish arms industry. Spain used to make excellent and very affordable firearms, mainly shotguns and handguns.

MolonLabe1836 • 8 years ago

I own one, a damn fine piece of equipment!

slobotnavich • 8 years ago

Mine's also the most accurate service-grade autoloader I've ever fired. No 1911 Colt I've ever had could touch it for out-of-the-box accuracy. And being all steel, it's heavy enough to absorb the recoil comfortably. Pity that Spain allowed one of their few manufacturing industries in which they were a world leader to go down. S&W should buy their old plants and re-open them.

bookworm721 • 8 years ago

Is micro-abrasive any thing like a micro-aggression? Lol

Truthiness111 • 8 years ago

Used them to wash barrack windows 1979!

lastconservative • 8 years ago

You can use paper towels if you cant find a discarded "news"paper.

Pragmatist • 8 years ago

Not as good its the newsprint INK which adds the abrasion to get the glass really clean

phicrappazappa • 8 years ago

Also good for underlayment to mulch. Stops weeds - even they don't want to deal with it.

DarnYankee • 8 years ago

Kills brain cells AND weeds ! What a great product !

John (ULTRA-MAGAnum) • 8 years ago

Surprised it's not more like 90% that don't trust the Lame Stream Media !
