Giving Is The Best Communication: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
To this day I have no idea what the Strangers Kissing video is trying to promote.
This is an Ad for Wren clothing Stuart.
The Force is perfect in every detail
THE FORCE forever :) Soooo good!
Little Vader has another battle on his hands.
Buzzfeed video is lame.
I liked this one.
The Swagger Wagon is awesome! =D
The daily dose of drama is by far the best one on there.
Nothing beats the John West salmon commercial with the bear: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Hello Flo First Moon Party
Got to love - THE FORCE!
Errrrm no Tipex?
Trying to be clever and damaging your brand.
In the UK both the First Kiss (this is an Ad for Wren clothing Stuart) and Like a Girl got massive negative backlash.
Once the public found out the First Kiss video was a viral ad and that all the participants were actors the client and the video lost any credibility and their brand became a joke.
The Like a Girl Ad got no traction from day 1, 'like a girl' was only ever an expression, not a sexist slur. The UK public saw straight through this provocatively divisive misinterpretation, trying to create an issue when there wasn't one, just to sell tampons.
In both cases the public felt negatively manipulated and ads that seemed a good idea at the time were detrimental to the brand they represented.
Saying 'like a girl' is supposed to be an insult. Why? Because apparently doing something 'like a girl' means that you are inferior. This campaign made people rethink that comment and the negative meaning behind it.
I loved this campaign. I thought it had a great message.
Correct; given that the context of "like a girl" is usually derogatory (you throw like a girl, you run like a girl, you walk like a girl) and directed towards men, IDK where poblagger has been living that this isn't known. But then again, usually men use that phrase and then wonder why women don't appreciate it, so...
I didn't feel negatively manipulated - I was finally like, yes! Change the conversation and show how women can be a force!
While I'll agree that 'like a girl' is usually used to describe someone doing something in an inept manner, the vast majority of people who use the expression (many of whom are women) do so with no malice towards women or girls, it's just an expression.
It's like the term 'indian giver', it just an expression that means that a gift is given with an expectation of something in return. Although it's derivation relates to the gift giving practices of Native Americans with early settlers, no one uses it, or interprets it, as a racist slur against Native Americans.
Always should be shunned by women for this ad, not applauding it. What it attempts to do is create friction between people that was never there while portraying women as victims.
I'm actually shocked that you don't think that the term 'indian giver' is a racist slur..
LOL, nice troll attempt. Quite possible the most ill thought through comment ever.
People use the term indian giver all the time, most have no idea of the derivation. So how do they know if it refers to Indian food, Native Americans, someone from Indian River FL or Indian Motorcycles.
If you know the derivation you also know it's not a racist term.
Nice try though, bit amateur.
This was also an ad that did great, people where consuming it without knowing it and it was great. This is probably one of the best native ads ever.
So while I agree it can be damaging it is also a new way of advertising consumption.
Beats who appear in almost every music video and so forth are other examples.
