Well, The reason Japan had to conquer other lands is because their Island Nation was disappearing because of the rising ocean. All Understandable. China, Russia, & the U.S. were all Giant Coal burning countries and it had to stop.

Actually that is not True. Japan had to conquer other lands because islands of Japan has no natural resources other than its people. You also have a large poplation living in an area about the size of California where only 1/3 of the land is habitable. It had nothing to do with global warming which wasnt a thing back then. Japanese needed resources and land and just decided to get into the colonization game after it was fashionable.

Real life is not like a video game. I would strongly suggest you read a bit of history, and not the "history" taught in most public schools. Please understand that most history classes in public schools leave out many, many important details and events.

They leave out most and plug in what the left leaning anti American "educators" want.

Perhaps you've heard that the Japaneese attacked us first. We sent Americans to the Pacific to respond to that attack. Read some history, it will open a whole world of new experiences.

They didn't attack us out of nowhere. They did it to gain advantage at the Philippines. Was this a sporting thing to do? Of course not. Was moving the fleet to Hawaii our way of picking a fight? You tell me.

We didn't need or want the Philippines and we lost them anyway. Japan only sought the same imperial status we had attained for ourselves, and they needed it because we dragged them kicking and screaming into the 19th century.

We have a disagreement and they start killing. Do you see why these two things aren't equivalent? Downplaying their killing by saying it wasn't the "sporting thing to do" demonstrates a bad case of false equivalency. Do you think the Japanese soldiers and military would have quit if one or two men at the top were captured? They were fighting to the last man woman and child, they would have just increased their attacks. Do you think the Japanese would have just let the paratroopers reach the ground? To move that many paratroopers to a position in which they could have attacked Japan they would have been tracked and attacked long before they reached the coast. That move would have ended in the massacre of American troops. The A-bomb and a show of overwhelming superiority in military might was the only way to end that war.

My dad was with the British army in northern Italy when the war in Europe ended, and he and all his companions were dreading being sent to the Far East to fight the war that was continuing there.
