Gyakuten Saiban Soundbox.

I'm really glad Capcom has been releasing tons of Sound Box. We get to hear the old games with higher bit rates and better sound quality!

Sadly, soundtracks seems to be the only thing Capcom gets right these days. Especially with 'certain' franchises. But I love what they're doing OST-wise. They're actually industry leaders in that regard.

Been behind on my wine tasting, so tried a bunch today!

Pinot Grigio: A white wine, personally the one I had tasted very dry (i.e bitter >.>), but had a very clean, refreshing finish, so a good palette cleanser, and I would pair with heavy, dense sort of foods. Creamy pastas, cheesecakes, stand alone cheeses, even french fries IMO :3

(I had an "unoaked" type, so I found the taste to be a lot "cleaner" than you would usually taste with most wines that are made in wooden barrels.)

---

Moscato (Muscat grape family): Another white wine, this one actually disappointed me because I'm looking for the sweet wines to buy in the future for myself, and I understood Moscato to be a sweet grape variety, so to feel not much difference from the Pinot Grigio, it was a little disheartening :/

Like, it wasn't bad, but I dunno...I'd liken it to a something citrusy that had a bite. Maybe if it was mixed with something richer and sweeter, it would mellow out. Otherwise, I think it's not bad to pair with fruits, salads, light pastas, or even desserts like cake and what not *shrugs*.

---

Shiraz: This was a pleasant surprise. It's a red wine, and it's dry, but it had a fairly soft, pleasant mouth-feel. There was no real "bite" to it, so it wasn't difficult to taste. Admittedly, I wished it was much sweeter, but I think this is my fave red so far. Like most wines, I find it's easy to pair with grilled meats and creamy pasta, cheeses, etc

---

For other miscellaneous info, I found out the words "port", "sherry", and even "champagne" aren't allowed to be used to name wines in North America.

Not sure about sherry, but Port seems to be a Portugal only thing, so they may want to keep dibs on that name. And Champagne is actually a city in France where champagne is made, so I guess it's the same situation.

Just from what I've seen in our store, the port we carry is instead called "tawny", our sherries are "apera", and we carry three kinds of "sparkling wine".

---

And that was this week on "learn about wine", with your host, a semi-buzzed new_tradition! Thank you for tuning in \(^ ^)/

Shiraz is my favorite even though I don't drink that often.

Mellusia • 9 years ago

I'm still trying to get the hang of drinking wine on a regular basis, but I think Riesling is my go to wine as of now. I always try to look for it when I check the grape ingredients ^_^

Shippoyasha • 9 years ago

I think drinking per dinner (or lunch) dish combination really helps. I don't really like drinking alcohol alone. I don't want to make it a habit and get utterly addicted or anything. Not to mention it's liquid calories too.

Mellusia • 9 years ago

Moderation is definitely key, for sure. I aimed for one glass a day-I drink even less than one a week >.>

Anyone here drink Naked? :D

SMTGamer • 9 years ago

Sometimes

Mellusia • 9 years ago

Naked Grape? That was the Pinot Grigio I tried. I'm thinking about trying the Luscious Red and Luscious White since they tend to be sweet from what I gathered. Have you had those before?

Dat phrasing tho.

the game itself felt so slow :/ most moves have terrible start up and recovery frames and the 30fps makes it worse.

Well both fight for Earth realm, so they shouldn't have to kill each other story wise.
