Having worked all over Africa and the Middle East, I have made many good friends around the locals that I came across on projects, and the vast majority of these people are thoroughly decent folk with similar attitudes to family and community that we have, although in very different circumstances.

Notice in the photos. These are not primarily families with children seeking asylum. Those in the photos are overwhelmingly young, military age males. This is an invasion.

The refugees are overwhelmingly families with children. Military aged males are the ones whose applications are rejected most often. The fact that photos of young males are shown accompanying the story is just more manipulation by the media outlet in question.
