I am in Washington DC with the highest taxation in the nation and no representation in Congress and or the Senate and I am not demanding state hood for the federal city just the ability for my vote to count in a state of my choice and the return of the Federal Commissioners ending local government in the federal city.

If I remember correctly, DC was created specifically to provide a permanent home and safe haven to conduct the nation's business without local interference, predudices, influence, and reliance (ie, Philadelphia failed to defend congress and they had to flee during the revolutionary war).

It requires a constitutional amendment to alter Dc's purpose. And the last one i believed failed.

so move to West Virginia.......
