Pot Heads, Arm thyself, its all "they" understand.....

ConnieHinesDorothyProvine • 9 years ago

the reich wing is anti-capitalism (except for their cronies)

mooco219 • 9 years ago

Weed is a deflective liberal issue. Yes, it should be legal and heavily taxed.

With all the rest that is wrong, it is hard for me to get excited about this non political issue. (other than the criminal justice side of it use - that is sad)

Midnight • 9 years ago

Cannabis prohibition is an illustration of the broader societal corruption.....

yehuda braun • 9 years ago

How about getting excited about this? FUCK YOU!
We have been throwing young non-rich people in JAIL for maryjane while the rich white kids with expensive lawyers walk. Now these sniveling c^nt5 want to make legal weed all a rich man's game.

Suck ups like you smile about it while you won't be getting a dime of the profits. Amazing.

How is that for "non political"?

mooco219 • 9 years ago

Yehuha: You likely are a TV watching brain dead hop headed zombie.

We kill millions globally every year to live the pampered unsustainable Amerikan lifestyle. If you are not able to see that as a bigger issue than Pot, just turn up the unimaginative image driven rock&roll artless garbage that you call music or get back to your favorite pro sports team on TV.

Wow man... The Pot issue is a plastic issue. Drugs are drugs - alcohol included. Their ugly wages are well documented.

Non political, yep

"You likely are a TV watching brain dead hop headed zombie."

The ignorance of this is just an illustration of yourself....

Guest • 9 years ago

I don't watch TV. All of your assumtions are factually incorrect except for "hophead"

Jihadis don't do drugs or alcohol. They do you. They, for example as refutation, need to get stoned and that goes for Pat Robertson, too!

Here are the actions of sober men.

"Unfortunately, there was nothing in the measure voters approved that
talked about the state's medical marijuana market, and how it should be
regulated."

A democratized supply and retail model should be the goal....As a medical grower in my state corporatism isn't what should be favored for an industry created by the "little guy" during it's prohibited years...

Even so.....This Tobias hack has nothing but money...yet, no knowledge of the industry or it's clientele...which will not benefit this capitalist scumbag in the long run....

The good thing is.....anyone can grow top quality cannabis with a little knowledge...

Mike Lince • 9 years ago

The main accomplishment of legalization was to remove the incentive for law enforcement to charge small quantity growers with a crime. The proposed R senate bill will assure Washington residents that the marijuana black market is here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future.

Nophah Kingweigh • 9 years ago

Look at the bright side; if the R proposal passes, the weed black market will continue to thrive. Here in the great NW an ounce of 5 star bud is less than $200 on the black market. And dropping fast. Nothing will encourage black market success like a corporate monopoly. P.S. It's a plant. ANYONE can grow it!

Jim • 9 years ago

Anyone that calls themselves a Republican is, by it's own definition, an elitist. So of course you can predict how they will vote on these kinds of issues 100% of the time. The only proviso is how the thing is marketed, not it's intent or it's result.

repugs are 'free market' only when it suits their patrones

Conservatives Battle against the "American Dream" and Weed in Washington State"

There, fixed it for you.

MrWell • 9 years ago

Too many Repuglicans dilutes the progressiveness of the Northwestern Coast. What a bunch of assholes. They hurt the people, not help them.

Lookseehear • 9 years ago

When pot is already legal, isn't the question of regulating the medical aspect of it moot? If Washington regulators attempt to legislate monopolized access to medical pot, one would assume that those who want or need it can simply turn to the recreational market.

As to the cognitive dissonance of conservatives, who always spout the virtues of a free market/free enterprise system and then seek to curtail it in favor of monopolies, we can only blame the people who vote for them. Those people are communists.

gaoxiaen • 9 years ago

The proper terms are crony capitalists and/or fascists. Real conservatives are libertarians. Real communists believe in sharing and equality. The Republicrats believe in looting.

Lookseehear • 9 years ago

You could use that term. However, communists believe in monopoly too, just that it's monopoly by the state. By intentionally limiting free enterprise through regulation to one or two bequeathed enetities, the distinction between crony capitalism and communism become indistinguishable.

gaoxiaen • 9 years ago

You're correct. I was a vague there, and don't want to be mischaracterized as a "pinko" (I haven't seen that word in a while), as I am a Libertarian. I should have used quotation marks thus- "sharing and equality".

Lookseehear • 9 years ago

Well, I take a more nuanced view. 'Pinko' is a term that arose in the aftermath of the Commie scare of the 40s and 50s. That's what they called people like me. They weren't exactly communists, and the term 'Reds' had lost its force in the cultural zeitgeist. 'Pinko' supplanted 'Red' in the lead up to what became known broadly as the counter culture.

Being there at the time, and having lived through all the times since, my view is that there needs to be some balance. That it's not about simplistic ideologies.

I could describe myself as a Progressive. And I am, in profoundly fundamental and most importantly principled ways.

I can just as easily describe the need for individuals to create their own destiny by their own free will.

In the end, we all share things in common. Ultimately, that's what's important. And that's where we start.

hammster • 9 years ago

Recreational market is the weed only, there are no edibles, which a large majority of us medical users use, so the recreational market is not equivalent for what we have in dispensaries.

Lookseehear • 9 years ago

I wasn't aware that was the case in WA. I know that in CO, retailers are free to sell it in edibles. Regardless, it isn't hard to take some bud and turn it into brownies or muffins or whatever.

Indeed. I just said it to annoy Con trolls.

Jim • 9 years ago

I almost choked when I saw communist in that sentence.

Medical Marijuana First is the key. Seattle govt seems like soulless bean counters, who taxed so high that the black market stays busy. Go medical and grow a soul.
