Glad to see 3rd Lanark name appear in East of Scotland Amateur league. I think last season was their first in the league - what position did they finish?
The website shows them competing in a second level division this season.
Would be good to watch them play ex Scottish League Helensburgh one day soon.

I remember the large Third Lanark crest that used to be on the side of the pavilion in the early 60s. Is there a photo available out there as I would like to make a copy for my living room?
My great great grandfather Robert Lawrie was supposed to have played for Third Lanark. He also played for Hibs between 1905-1907 although went to Glentoran in 1907 so may have been later on. Are there player records anywhere? Thanks
I believe my papa played for third lanark. Not sure when but he was born in 1909 so thinking the 1920s 1930s. His name was John Perry. I also think he went on to be a scout for he team. Any information would be greatly received.
My uncle played for Third Lanark. His name was Thomas McGarrity. I think it was in the thirties.Do you have any info on him. Thanks, Celia Graham.
Hi Celia,
Many thanks for your enquiry. I have searched my records from the late "thirties" to the early "forties", but cannot trace the name "McGarrity".
My records are certainly not absolutely complete, but to enable me to check in greater depth, can you give me any more personal stats?'
Bert
How soon will Thirds get into the SPFL. I am 68, will I ever see the day?
