I happen to personally have known a member of a Palestinian christian family that owned extensive lands, orchards and houses and who had lived on their lands for many, many generations. It offered compensation for all lands seized and they were only seized if Arabs abandoned them. It also offered repatriation for those who fled. I once knew an individual from the Palestinian diaspora. His family once owned substantial lands and buildings in the then Palestine. They were driven out, their lands and buildings and the contents of their bank accounts were seized and no compensation for any of these thefts was made.
