Yes, and I hope he'll write an exposé about our highly dysfunctional gov't/private prison system to go along with his photos.
A kickstarter so he can drive around and take pictures of shit he likes to take pictures of. Yeah, sure, here's all my money. Riiiiight ...
Heck, send me money and I'll drive around and take pictures of shit I like to take pictures of.
Yeah! You take doggie pictures and I'll take kitty pictures and we'll post them on a blog. Together we'll rule the internet and get rich at the same time!
A kickstarter so [project creator] can [do project].
As with any crowdfunding project, ultimately it's between him and any people who choose to support him.
It is a sacred and unique relationship between a Kickstarter campaigner and his or her backers.
Yeah, why pay people to do things they like doing? The only way to earn money should be to work a shit job that makes your life miserable!
I have no problem with someone trying to Kickstart a photography project. I've bought photography books & I've bought prints; I have paid money for photography as art. That said, it is a terrible Kickstarter; you can either donate or chip in $250 for a print? It's that part that bothers me. I only back Kickstarters where I get something, where I am essentially pre-ordering, just funding up front.
No bands that play Contra music? Aw..
More of a Protomen guy myself.
(I flinch every time I see him on Fox; like, seriously, you hired that guy? The guy who came up with the "neat idea" of funding terrorism in North America by selling weapons to Iran? That's like hiring John Wayne Gacy as the new Bozo the Clown.)
One of the largest Job Creators of the State and a profitable business for NYS .
Greenhaven scares the shit out of me. First time I drove down that road, not knowing ti was even there, and that wall loomed up... Brrr.
Kudos to this guy for wanting to show people what prisons really look like. We send thousands of people there, but we really don't know, or even ask about the conditions of the imprisoned. We should be demanding transparency.
I know I am missing the point but I lol'd at the apostrophe use in picture 4.
That guy was obviously arrested for crimes against the language.
Like how they arrested Robert Durst for misspelling Beverly Hills.
Haha. That's atrocious.
I think I like Norway's jails better
