Dying Priest

An old priest lay dying in a hospital. He had served the people of the nation’s capital for many years.

He motioned for the nurse to come near.

“Yes Father?” said the nurse.

“I would really like to see Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama before I die” whispered the priest.

“I will see what I can do” said the nurse.

The nurse sent the request to Washington and waited for a response.

Soon an answer came back, both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would be delighted to visit the priest.

As they were driven to the hospital Hillary commented to Obama “I don’t know why this old priest wants to see us, but it certainly will help our images and may even help my election prospects”.

Obama agreed it was a good thing.

When they arrived at the priest’s bedside, the Priest took Hillary’s hand in his right hand and Obama’s hand in his left hand.

There was silence and a look of serenity on the old priest’s face.

Finally Obama spoke “Father, of all people you could have chosen, why did you chose us to be with you at this time when your end is so near?”

The old priest slowly replied “I have always tried to pattern my life and behavior after our Lord and Savior.”

“Amen” said Hillary.

“Amen” said Obama.

The old priest continued “Our Savior died between two lying, thieving bastards and I would like to do the same!"

"How to Create a Gun-Free America in 5 Easy Steps": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnoFKskvSq4

1. Elect a 2/3 majority in Congress: 67 senators, and 297 member of the house, who agree with you.
2. Have them vote to propose an amendment to the Constitution, repealing the 2nd Amendment for all Americans.
3. Convince the legislatures of 38 states to ratify that amendment.
(At this point, you've done absolutely nothing to decrease gun violence.)
4. Legislate - enact "common sense" gun reform to ban all guns, and get it signed by the president.
5. Enforce the law - that's right........you've got to confiscate over 350 million guns scattered among 330 million Americans. Good luck with that.

henrybowman_az • 7 years ago

"media-based anti-gun arguments are growing louder – as if rising decibel level will make up for lagging logic.”

Obama’s cheering squad are desperately trying to beat the Trump deadline. When that clock strikes twelve, all their reflected power turns to rats and ashes. They will be lucky if what comes home to roost are only chickens.

Sock Dollager • 7 years ago

If they come for legal guns the media shills for it better be out of town.

Ephraiyim • 7 years ago

I would say if the fascist police state attempts to confiscate weapons, since they would prefer everyone be forced to turn in bows, hunting and fishing knives ect as well, invite as many of the shrills as possible.
There would, likely, be a war, however short lived, and they could get caught in the crossfire. Not advocating, merely speculating about how Americans may react to their personal and legal weapons being confiscated!

Clifford Ishii • 7 years ago

I just bypass the Dems on guns and carry a Jo staff for self defense

TexTopCat • 7 years ago

The people that legally carry guns are NOT part of the problem but the solution.
Stats from the Texas DPS website. Conviction rate for Peace Officers, LTC holders and the general public.
2011 Stats:
General public = 362.47 per 100,000
Peace Officer = 103 per 100,000
LTC holder = 23.14 per 100,000
Yup! Peace officers in TX have a 5x higher conviction rate than LTC holders! And that's with LTC holders having additional laws they must follow above and beyond the others!
Licensed Law abiding citizens ARE NOT the problem. Its the General public that are!
It is not mathematically possible for LTC holders carrying in an area to increase crime

Ephraiyim • 7 years ago

Licensed? Where did that come from?
I see nothing in the US Constitution that would even suggest the owners of firearms can be forced into licensure
I think you have bought into the lie the state feeds it's people that somehow we are safer if only the gubment will keep track of of the "potential" threats.
Less government is good. No government is best! Always!!!

TexTopCat • 7 years ago

I do not see "carry licenses" as the best solution, however, it does allow for tracking the actions of people that actually carry legally. Constitutional carry is the goal, however, "shall issue" license in states like Texas is much better than places like CA, NY, IL ...

Arizona Gunowner • 7 years ago

While the anti's are quite willing to take whatever they can get only the real idiots actually suggest Obozo "unilaterally" ban guns.

The mainstream anti's like Clinton know that can't and won't happen and would actually work against them.

The "sane" anti's know that their best bet is to make as much of the country like NJ, NYC, CA etc where gun ownership is heavily regulated. Make it expensive, and as legally dangerous as possible to be a gun-owner and slowly wipe out the legitimate gun culture - they don't care about the illegal gun culture.

Now we've made a lot of gains, more states with easy carry laws etc, but they've made gains too as in MA, CT, now CA. We're moving to a 2 country nation. One with a robust legal gun culture and one with a gun culture more heavily weighted to criminals as in Chicago.

But the author is right - the media is in full support of the anti's agenda.

Dangerous times, and even more dangerous coming (ie, more Muslims coming).

Better plan accordingly.

Ephraiyim • 7 years ago

Muslims buzzmans. Buy into that Hegelian dialectic all you want.
Our greatest enemy is the elitists and their governments.

Arizona Gunowner • 7 years ago

And Muslim despots aren't "elitists"?

I'm not sure your claim is any less a Hegelian dialectic than mine.

Regardless, I understand that it was gov't that killed 100 million people in the 20th Century and of those only the Armenian genocide was the fault of a Muslim gov't.

Still, that it is of little import to the 80 people just killed by a truck driving Muslim in Nice, or the 50 gay nightclub goers by a Msulim in Orland a few weeks ago is it? Or a dozen in San Bernadino CA that we've already forgotten about it.

Or the hundreds (thousands?) of women being assaulted all over Europe mainly at the hands of Muslim refugees.

Everyone has 2 lives - macro and micro.

Macro you don't have too much control over.

Micro is another story.

This thread is about the macro issue of the media (elitists I think) driving an agenda which can have real micro ramifications.

To wit, disarming you in the face of immediate personal threats.

You can ignore reality if you want. But you can't ignore the effects of ignoring reality (Rand).

If you're killed by a member of the "religion of peace" you won't be around to worry about the elitists and "their" gov'ts anymore will you?

But wt hey, 1 death is a tragedy right, while a million is a statistic?

TexTopCat • 7 years ago

Since GM was too big to be allowed to fail and the US gun industry employs more people be far than GM, is it not logical to think that the gun industry is too big to be allowed to fail? I guess liberals do not have to apply logic to their actions like the rest of us.

GM and the UAW gave billions to the Clintons and Obamas.

Colt, Ruger, and Smith & Wesson didn't.

Absolutely correct. All of the criminals will be well armed, the illegal aliens will be well armed, rich people will be well armed and government employees will be well armed. Now, the does anyone care about the law abiding tax payer?

Get an ar 15. Get good with it. Get plenty of gear now, as well as ammo and cleaning supplies. Dont wait for a panic. Make it a lifestyle, now

Dan Morgan • 7 years ago

The Dallas shooter had a 12 to 1 kill ratio. There are more than 350 million guns in the US, and approximately 20 million Vets.
Additionally, there are approximately 20 million Americans who hunt, and kill deer, ducks, hogs....
You get the idea.
Pretty sure the whole gun grabber thing ain't gonna work out.

TheAnnoyedMan • 7 years ago

A determined and irritable resistance, armed with mostly small arms, can defeat a much more powerful and well-armed enemy if it can last long enough to rob that enemy of its political will through the loss of that enemy's popular support. And there are a million ways to achieve this without even resorting to gun play. A gun ban passes, instantly making all gun owners into felons? Easy. Call the anonymous police hotlines and report the likes of Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg, saying you saw a bunch of illegal assault weapons in their houses. Keep "swatting" your opponents. Casual acts of sabotage. Operate in cells of 3 or less so that if a cell gets rolled up, the movement isn't set back to much.

Eventually, no matter what law gets passed or constitutional amendment gets repealed, somebody has to go confiscate the guns. Can't be done. The reason why is easy to understand:

(1) Most cops are our brothers and have no desire to kick down our doors. We are their parents, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters. They're not going to do it.

(2) The same effete feckless libtards who advocate for this stuff will never volunteer to be the first in a SWAT stackup outside of someone's front door. Liberals always hire someone else to get their hands dirty for them.

So what happens when "someone else" doesn't want to get his/her hands dirty?

Exactly nothing.

Ephraiyim • 7 years ago

Most cops are our brothers? Dude, most cops are evil by default.
Why? Simply stated, there is not likely 1 in a million that would report a partner for unconstitution treatment of a suspect.
Thin thin blue line is actually miles wide.
When I say unconstitutional, I do not mean what the so called supreme court has to say. They are not the final arbiters of that. We are. How it is stated is what it means!

Bingo

Richard Dean Anderson • 7 years ago

His work with that rifle was above average, I think most would agree.

Ephraiyim • 7 years ago

Can you say black op? I do not mean black but CIA/Military!

Richard Dean Anderson • 7 years ago

so it was a dark black op then?

Ephraiyim • 7 years ago

Yep likely

Ephraiyim • 7 years ago

I guess that pretty much any time the elitist agend, whether confiscation on weapons or inciting people to wars or some other, my default is the government (s) are directly or perhaps (though doubtful) indirectly involved.
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but past revelations seem to bear his out.
I also like long sentences! 😯

Dan Morgan • 7 years ago

But not as good as Col. O'Neill.

Dan Morgan • 7 years ago

I don't believe he was working alone. Cops reported taking fire from more than one location.

Son of Liberty • 7 years ago

That's one thing I don't understand. First reports said the police were taking fire from three different locations, but cops and other investigators are saying he was a 'lone wolf.' That doesn't make sense to me. Just saying.

I read a few comments and had to stop out of shear frustration. Can you not see that all of these mass shootings are staged events, psy-ops, if you will? How can people not see? Take a look at the citizen journalism occurring on Youtube and you will (apparently) be amazed. To any thinking person, there can be no question these events have all been planned for a very long time. It's just sickening to see people argue over and discuss these hoaxes. Please get a grip on reality, folks. I'm starting to wonder if there isn't, in fact, something to the whole "Mandela Effect" because Americans seem to be living in a parallel universe believing this stuff. Your media is entirely corrupt and just as responsible as the evil people directly involved. Please wake up.

Dan Morgan • 7 years ago

The enemy remains the same, regardless.

Bruce C. • 7 years ago

I don't see why it matters if such shootings are staged or not.

It is the narrative that 'because there always will be occasional nuts who will kill innocent people with guns NO ONE should be allowed to own one (except for cops, the military, law enforcement agencies, DHS employees, security guards for politicians, etc.)' that matters.

You should direct your frustration toward those who believe THAT.

WhaleMan • 7 years ago

Whom will they use to confiscate firearms? Police? Military? Foreign militaries? I am always curious to understand how the radical left will use gestapo tactics to accomplish their goals.

Webforager • 7 years ago

Personally, I think they will use registration... much like when you register your vehicle. Then, they will raise taxes on the firearms the politicos find most offensive effectively reducing the number of firearms in circulation. And they will justify it in the name of terrorism and "mental illness". Of course, this will also create a black market...

mangomuffin2 • 7 years ago

I thought I read that UN troops would do this...

Christopher White • 7 years ago

All the UN Troops will do, besides their normal raping of young girls, is go back to their home country in body bags and supply US III% with lots of new weapons and ammunition.

Obama
said. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's
just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Tom • 7 years ago

Yes, Obama said that. But Bush did push for it and then sign the original DHS legislation. The important point is that they are both playing on the same team and that left/right political labels are distractions, curtains behind which the real rulers and their agenda can continue without being interrupted by the voters.

Jakob Stagg • 7 years ago

Yes, I know. But Obama started delivering MRAPs to every jurisdiction in the country. Every one of them is marked "DHS". In the southwest, they come with crews. It has been obvious there's not a dime's worth of difference between the parties. They cross party lines whenever there is an office they want. Bloomberg has run as a Republican, a Democrat, and an Independent.

We aren't supposed to notice the people behind the curtain.
