I used to be naïve, but am now a realist after seeing that so many popular people aren't who we thought they were. I know that things have changed from how they used to be when most people were good to now, when too many people are opportunistic agnostics and atheists who will use anything to gain power. Pardon me for not trusting a fallen politician who was 'born again', yet still stayed in politics and still making money with it.
Maybe a little cynicism could do you some good, too. Just remember to not put all your eggs in one basket and to watch your back when dealing with opportunists. The Lord said He will help those who help themselves and I'll bet He meant that you shouldn't blindly think that He can protect you from all evil if you fail to recognize it after the signs were shown. Trumps' lying and other discretions such as his over-the-top wealthy lifestyle and the eminent domain issue against that poor woman are signs that shouldn't be ignored.

Well, I have been undeservingly blessed by Our Lord God as well as burdened. I am not blind and he does protect us when you give your heart, soul and mind 100% completely to Him. As far as fallen politician, Newt sees himself as a fallen person and was blind to what his sins were, he confessed them, got baptised and went to sin no more. In fact he turned his life around with his new wife who helped him know the Lord. Now both go and write childrens books about Christ and the founding fathers history, they tour the US with book signings. We must at all cost forgive those who ask for it, and see that they do not sin anymore in as giving them support. My eggs are in God's basket, and my back ,God has, and most importantly he gives me wisdom and knowledge to know evil. God gives wealth to many men, it is how they use it. This eminent thing you speak of, that women held out because of greed. It sounds as if you might be a little envious of someone who has wealth. Better check that at the door. God gives man what each are deserving and how they live with those gifts, true of wealth and of poorness in the earthly realm. But truly wealth is not what we have here on earth...wealth is knowing we will be with our Lord God.

Yes, Christians can be hypocrites all the time, but to be a real Christian is at some point in your life, and not by dictate of another human being their knee is going to bend and profess who God is, ask for forgiveness, become to know their sins were washed by the blood of Jesus Christ and go and sin no more (and that is the key). That only begins the cross to bear in walking with the relationship with Jesus Christ. God does not want us to judge another on theirs sins, but have discernment in knowing who is sinning and not to partake in that as such. Donald's wives were in agreement with their divorces and on national TV said Donald never raped them, or treated them with disrespect. Bill on the other hand, had raped women.not just one but three..big difference, then Hillary wanting to keep power, campaigned to ruin these women and discredit their reputation, their lives ruined. She enabled him in that sin (partook). Bill professes to be Christian and goes (or so it is said ) to a Baptist Church, and yet he still sins, having other affairs with other women. Hillary by all means know he does. Hillary says she is for women's rights..but talks out of the other side of her mouth, .so both are hypocrites...Donald if not yet saved is better in telling the truth than to lie about it. But then the hypocritical Christians come out and judge him because he has not professed to ask for forgiveness...him telling the truth is far better...for it is not to say he will never do that, I'd rather a person tell the truth than a lie. He who is without sin may cast the first stone. We as true Christians get our wisdom from God to discern who is a sinner and who is not, without judging them, we know God has that job of judgement.

The elderly woman who Trump tried to cheat didn't hold out for greed, she wanted to keep her property and if anything, God helped her to do just that. When she died, the house went to her daughter and you know what? God made sure that the whole crooked deal with Trump fell through.

Did you know Trump had 7 pastors from 7 different non demoninational churches come pray with him 7 days before he made his announcement?. Both Newt and Jeff Sessions were there..
