They will never openly issue a "gun grab." The "middle ground" people are essential to this strategy. The progressives are violent, aggressive, belligerent people with little regard for reality. They'll order a gun grab.

These guys in the middle, however, aren't so foolish. They understand that the bar must be inched under the argument if 'common sense' and 'for the security of all.'

A gun grab will be met with staunch resistance from local policing forces and the armed population. It will quickly conclude to revolt and organize as such with an irregular army of millions popping out of the aether - with a fair number of military sympathizers and defectors.

But when the bar is inched... resistance is disorganized. So long as everyone can get up, get paid, go home, and drink beer - there is little to motivate them out of that pattern for a risky (personally) gamble for a freedom that doesn't yet really feel all that threarened. There is no reason for, especially those of us who are young and able bodied who are starting to build families and careers... to leave our job, grab a rifle, and pack around while shooting at people who are going to send air strikes and coordinated teams of military operatives against us. Especially when the only way to know who is going to actually commit is to start shooting and see who holds the line.

Thus - if I were to recommend a 'wild weasel' course of action - it would be the targetted elimination of these 'middle ground' gun control advocates.

Take them iut of the picture (with guns) to provoke a radical reaponse from the progressives that will force a rigid polarization of the population on the issue of the second amendment. It will prompt armed conflict to break out and force the progressives into dealing with the fallout from a "gun grab" order.

It's a gambit. But the fate of our nation is certain if we allow the game of amendment limbo to continue.
