girls even do copy the same poses in pictures and context (scarf covering lower part of face, big fluffy hooded jacket, big bow on top of head, one eye closed tongue sticking out etc)

These are mostly young students. If you go out to certain places, you can find older and very fashionable people in Seoul (~가로수길). IMHO, there are so many here that have great fashion sense.

That last picture might be a workplace meeting/rally. I remember when I lived in Korea my employer loved to give all the employees the same article of clothing as a gift. One month, everyone got a polo shirt w/ the company logo, another month, it was matching jogging suits and in October, we received matching down coats, almost identical to the last photo. When it comes to the work environment, there is a lot of group think.

The last picture is a graduation ceremony of secondary school and The north face jackets are kind of a uniform now. http://travel.cnn.com/seoul...

korean mentality is still the same in both north and south. the split is due to capitalism, pulling old korea out into a horribly vain/narcissistic capitalistism (something communism despise).

Its not North Korea. Its South Korea. People in North korea dont have a phone like a girl on 4. picture. And more. Its South Korea ;)
