ALL WORKING CLASS PEOPLE WORKING SURROUNDING THE JANTAR MANTAR SHOULD GO AND EXTEND THEIR SUPPORT TO EX SERVICE MAN OBSERVING FAST SINCE 121 DAYS. ATLEAST IN THE EVENING FOR ONE HOUR LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE SHOULD BE STAND WITH EX SERVICE MEN PERFORMING RAMDHUN. IF WE DO NOT SUPPORT OTHERS, OTHER WILL NOT SUPPORT US. PLEASE DON'T BE SELF CENTRIC.

OROP demand is met by the Government. Revision every five years is a fair proposal. Agree that army people put their lives to danger to protect country but they should not be too greedy. Revision every year will call for too much of admistrative work.

Sam • 8 years ago

Greedy!!!!!!! Go and take a bullet then only one can feel

SANTOKH BHATIA • 8 years ago

Dear Mr Vyas,
I hope you know banks are working out intt on daily basis. What are the administrative problems in working out annual pension which was being done before 3 CPC ( Central Pay Commission).
You also mean to say that in future we should never trust Parliamentarians as OROP APPROVED BY Two PARLIAMENTS is Baseless.
Mr Parikar Ji has no locus standii in front of Mr Jaitley. A project submitted by MoD is being dictated by Min of Finance who's responsibility is to find funds. If he can't the PM has to take a call to direct FM. BABUS ARE misleading PM and FM. Injustice to ESM would result in a very heavy price to our Country. God save the NATION if moral of services get affected. It is definitely going to be affected as today's soldier is tomorrow's Veteran.

Binod Bisht • 8 years ago

I think now the time has come for ex foujis to deal these politicians, babus and all other anti foujis, in the fouji style. Thats the way the understand. We are committed to ensure safety and security of our nation but if it comes the moral of our foujis, every action will be valid and fair. May be this over ambitious government is waiting to see some thing which India has never seen.

Kuppuswamy Ramani • 8 years ago

Dear Mahesh , max of pension from defence funds go to civilian staff MOD, DRDO , Ordanance Factories, MES , Defence Audit etc etc, Second maximum of IAS. IFS IPS already get OROP and also NFU. Even if you are not promoted yoiu get pay of higher rank. Which govt awards in competency. Second it is these political calss which reduced pension of forces from 70 to 50% after Bnagla Desh and incraesed their won from 30 to 50 % . I can keep quoting . It took one man to go to Courts to get back our rank pay. They had quietly eaten it . Thosr respionsible just get away with such crimes. NO ONE IS ACCOUNATBLE .

Maheshkumar Vyas • 8 years ago

Hello Mr Kuppuswami,
First I would like to say that I have high regards for our army.
But I have to say that ex army personnel are asking too much. I know for sure that IFS don't get pension revision every year. And why a DRDO man should not get a pension?
What about BSF AND CRPF people. Why they should not get OROP. Asking to revise pension every year means they want salary and not pension.
Ex army personnel are emotionally blackmailing the people of country.
Ofcourse they should get enough to lead a dignified retired life.
What about millions of people like me who get no pension after working for 40 years and contributing to countries prosperity?

Binod Bisht • 8 years ago

Mr. Vyas ! if you are not an army man, if you have not lived even a single day the way the army men live for years in their life, you please keep your mouth shut and keep your ideas with you. You are comparing the army men with DRDO, IFs, and paramilitary forces because you have seen army actions only in television and movies. Your country's prosperity will go to hell if the army does not ensure security to you from external & internal enemies as well as the natural calamities and funny activities such as rescue operations from bore well. Dont chellange the power of a fouji. Our politeness should not be taken as our weakness. Every one knows how strong the foujis are.

Maheshkumar Vyas • 8 years ago

Hello Mr Bisth,
As I have said I have highest regards for army and veterans. I wish to see a very strong indian army. I also wish that the just demands of veterans are met by government. Only thing is that I felt that government fulfilled OROP demand. If not, keep your agitation on.
However, don't underestimate others contribution. Please think from where government gets money. From where they will get money for OROP.
Good luck, all the best.

swapnil TRIBHUVAN • 8 years ago

Dear Mr Vyas
The Goverment has led you to believe that they have granted OROP to the veterans which is not so. No one is undermining the contribution of others. However all others whom you has cited earlier retire at the age of 58 / 60. It's only army where the jawans, JCOs and officers retire early when they are in the mid 30's and 40's . It is done to keep the army young and responsive to the call of the nation. That is why the last bastion of the the nation is called first in times of need even before you have exhausted all possible resources because the govt roposes that kind of faith in the army. I think we must give the soldier's their due because if they resort to taking it by their means it will be a disaster for the nation. And believe today if one asks you whom do you trust more with your life? A politician or a soldier. I think the answer itself will clear all doubts.

Maheshkumar Vyas • 8 years ago

Thanks.
I wish Army and the veterans the very best in their life.
Certainly want them to lead a very happy and dignified retired life.
All the best.

If the election promises are not meant to be implemented, then why promise ? Is it to cheat Public.
Actually Election Commission should be requested to make a rule to consider such departures as offence.

Mahadev • 8 years ago

Dear Mr. Pangaal, please do not criticize the mentality of defense personnel. You are less informed about the defense people. Believe, had at least 20-25% of people from civil and bureaucrats with this fauji mentality, by now India should have been a super power. Super power not merely by militarily but also economically, scientifically and geographically. People of what mentality are being elected again and again in this country? Do you appreciate the mentality of people who are selfish in the pursuit of enhancement of their own salary and pension? What trouble are the taking for this kind of increments? Introspect sir. Please honour the FAUJI mentality which stands guard to all of you to achieve your goals as per their own mentalty.

We should compare how other countries presently treat their veterans and you will find yourselves very blessed....question always crops up Why after Modi came to power Why didn't you all did all these complaining during congi time ? This puts doubts on your sincerety & directs to some agenda....

Col Rao Manpal Singh • 8 years ago

What Gen Satbir Singh of
Ex Servicemen Organization said that they do not allow leaders of
Political party to use their mike to gain political mileage? But it is
not true, these senior appointment holders before the Lok
Sabha elections got a BJP’s, planed and arranged party rally at Rewari
Haryana rename as Ex Servicemen
rally. There these Ex Servicemen
Organization Senior leaders including Gen V K Singh who is now a minister in
this times Modi Government (Abki bar ki Modi Sarakr) were present. These senior
in that Ex Servicemen Rally allowed some senior BJP leaders of Harayana and Narender
Modi to use their mike to garner vote bank appealed to vote on the name of Narender
Modi vote for BJP candidates. JAI SHRI KRISHNA.

Poll promises are nor and never contracts...although they should be though...Its just a way to beat the opponents during electioneering... How many promises the congi-commies have been kept so far and when did you complain about those never having been fulfilled ? Next time keep a list of them all...

Unfortunately nothing ever in this country wad achieved peacefully in our Country. Even Independence in our Country was granted when British realised that they had face the hard elements too. ESM need to speak in the language which the politicians undetstand .

Mayur Panghaal • 8 years ago

Can Satbir singh tell us what he means by 'hijacking' of their agenda by political parties ? Instead he should've clearly stated the roadmap to the political parties supporting them and asked them to adhere to it.Satbir messed up even that one. These chappies actually had no clue on how to conduct an agitation. They have typical fauji mentality.Sorry to say this.

Mukul Kapoor • 8 years ago

A fauji is a Fauji. His heart is genuine. Fauji's can't do diplomacy like civilians. We are better as we are and do not need unsolicited advice!

No matter what Faujis are part of whole society performing their duty... Now let's not act like khalistani sikhs whose naaraa has always been "we are different"

I totally agree with you Mukul ji.

Col Jagdeep Singh • 8 years ago

It is sad that military veterans have to resort to agitation & negotiation for their legitimate rights which have been steadily whittled down by a scheming bureaucracy & political apathy ever since independence. Now, with water flowing over the bridge, they have resorted to protest at Jantar Mantar. They may be novices at political protests but they are also quick learners! They come from schools which have repeatedly taught them that in war there are no runners-up. They fight to win, their methods are novel, they believe in surprising their adversaries with out-of-the-box solutions. Best not to let this issue drag on for long lest they become adept at agitating- what turn the agitation may take cannot really be predicted!

Major P J Rao (Retd.) • 8 years ago

Dear Colonel Jagdeep Singh,

You are very correct Sir. One should not take lightly about Veterans agitation.
Their self discipline should not be considered as weakness.
Things will definitely deteriorate with further delay.
May God bestow good health to General Satbir Singh Sir to take this decades of OROP struggle
to a logical conclusion for the benefit of all great veterans and serving soldiers
and officers of Armed Forces.

Regards
Jai Hind

rana • 8 years ago

How come this issue has come up only after BJP came to power ? Why no one was so gung-ho during congi-commie rule....during all those decades...?

rana • 8 years ago

It seems like another congi commie inspired outfit similar to aap and patel outfit in Gujarat trying to put down Modi govt. Where were these outfits during madmohan/sonia decades ?

human • 8 years ago

It is high time India undergoes a long spell of military rule! A lot would be achieved within a short period of time i.e. all kinds of crime & corruption shall get eliminated, terrorists and anti nationals shall leave the country alone, politicians & dhotiwallas shall be consigned to doom, bureaucrats shall be brought to their senses, caste based reservations shall be a thing of past & above all the media shall fall in line. I dont say that everything that plagues the country today shall get corrected but some semblance of sanity shall prevail within a very short time.

Imagine making such a promise to the defence forces in Pakistan & reneging on it - the politicians in pakistan cannot even think of going back on their promises.

India needs a long spell of military rule & nothing else to set the nation on the right path!

Sub Madhavan Nair (retd) • 8 years ago

Hoping that after the Bihar election is over the legitimate and promised words of our defence minister on OROP will be implemented in letter and spirit.
Jai jai the honourable Maj Gen Satbir Singh (retd) and other dignified veterans who are putting their dedicated struggle to implement the long outstanding issue...
Jai Hind.

Unfulfillable promises for votes; cash for votes;caste for votes. Is there no constitutionally valid method/procedure to book Jaitley, modi, shah like characters who fool public for electoral gains when they themselves confess were just electoral promises? If this is not professing and practicing the ground rules of goonda / jungle raj, what else is?

rana • 8 years ago

How come there were no agitations from your "brigade" before Modi/NDA came to power i.e during congi-commie rule ? Just wondering ....Something doesn't jive Is it preparation similar to "arab spring" like in Egypt supported, financed & advised by firengees saat samundar paar....? Can't help wondering... Why Now ?

Really shameful...

Mr Mayur

Please try to see the real problems of Indian Armed Forces then blame. As I understood that In India the Bureaucrat Lobbies are playing foul game and be fooling entire Ex Serviceman/Serving Personnel and their families of Indian Armed Forces since Independence as only Bureaucrat want maximum benefits from Government with the help of misguiding and misleading entire Ministers and Politicians . I also understood that in India the Bureaucrats are CURSED FOR THE NATION AND SOCIETY as they are following Britishers rules till date. Please ensure that if you are a Bureaucrat then help of a actual Heroes of Nation and not demoralised their image in front of other Country also not to decline their efficiency by means of harassing them

What a shame. I am happy i dint vote for this ' lying jumla govt' . i would like to ask the
Bhakths' what they think about this. Jaitley's admission is shocking and disgraceful. BJP should loose in Bihar . People of India should take a collective decision. until the central govt. fulfill all promises they will not be voted to win in the state elections. winning state elections will make them more arrogant and will bring the country to disaster.

problems of Veterans, the injustice meted out by them.

Binod Bisht • 8 years ago

Sir, dont worry, the time is over when all were dependent on TV and news papers to updates. Let these presstitutes ignore our agitation, we all are updated on every move, through social media. Only thing we faujis should learn now, that when these gaddar presstitutes are in danger, we should kick on their back and push them to valley, instead of protecting them in any situation.
