Population was 77% white and other (225 million), 13% black (40 million)

Whites committed 2,755 murders in 2013.
Blacks committed 2,698 murder in 2013.

The black population of 13% commits almost as many murders as the 77% white population. That's makes a 5-to-1 ratio people, and I'm being generous here by not putting these murders on the 3-5% aged 18-34, who likely committed the bulk of the killings.

We will never have an honest conversation about race and crime in this country until people are willing to take honest assessment of their own backyards and stop labeling numbers and facts as racist. Oh, and for all you SJWs out there primed to play the poverty card:
