Thank you for this post Isra. I love the idea of putting your post on a diet. There is a fine line between story telling and rambling and I always re-read my posts with a strict editor's eye before publishing!

That's a powerful blogging habit, I'm hooked with the idea of "triple check" (meaning looking for brilliance, not perfection), it always give you an edge in front of your first draft.

Excellent post! From personal experience (8+ years blogging), the following quote will really give your intro paragraphs an extra boost... "You can engage readers by starting with a question or by quoting something relevant, though always from a personal point of view." The goal here is instant engagement, human warmth, and implied 'street-cred'. The 60 word limit is a great target to aim for.

Blogging is a short attention span medium of communication. We may as well accept this fact, swallow our effusive literary pride, and use the medium to its (and our!) best advantage.

Hey Cymbria, your tip really helps and enhances the message, gaining attention it's crucial not in oder to get the post read, but creating resonance with the reader. It's all about staying human.

One thing I do already implement is the bullet points and deleting excess words.

I like the idea of developing an outline/structure to follow for every blog. Its like having a template, then you just paint by numbers...

Isra García • 9 years ago

Sure Luis, it's like having a writing frame, but applying the the entire post.

Thanks for the post. Awesome guide for beginners. All the points you mentioned are correct. I knew some points before but also got new ones. Write post which provides informative, quality, motivating information which makes your blog an ultimate.

Moreover, the headlines matter, it's true. That’s why, try to always check my headlines. But I think On page SEO is one of the important points to remember while writing the high-quality blog post. Also, don't forget to make your keyword research, and you need to have your own blogging/writing style.

I believe that the quality of the content you write is more important than the number of posts or the number of words. Quality, Grammar, Easy Reading and Long text are the four pillar of a high-quality post.

Anyways, it's a great article and great tips for newbie bloggers.
