You will live long, Reuben.

Most of us Catholics often shudder in wonderment as to the real difference between our orthodoxy and the Pentecostal shiny star pastors whenever names as Mbaka gets to the fore. Since he adores the Eucharist and shares cognate adoration through our mother Mary, a discerning faithful merely swallows saliva in shock quietude.

I was beginning to doubt my reasonableness, until this your piece gave me solace after-all. Honestly, I was maddened at Mbaka's childish outburst. What does he mean by suffering?.... a roof over his head, a bed to lay on, a toilet, all to himself....and he is crying. He honestly sees poverty in conceptual academia. I have worshiped in my Sacred Heart parish barely 3 years and I have seen two transfers--there was no melodrama. it is Catholic Church we are talking about, not Mbaka Inc.

He is free to leave the faith and the Rosary and form his Mbaka Pentecostal Inc. the Catholic church will not bat an eyelid.

Mr. Abati, Once upon a time, I could have taken your writing serious, but not any longer! Too bad! How the mighty has fallen! Sad, that it has come to this! You are too biased for any objective assessment.

And you wrote:

'Let him therefore, suffer if he must, and let his suffering be a blessing upon the poor and the Church, and if he as much as whimpers again, let him be posted post-haste to Sambisa forest, where the poor are in urgent need of miracles. "

THAT WAS VERY UNCHARITABLE AND WICKED!!!

"In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted..."

2 Tim 3: 12.

Abati has not said anything wicked. It is Biblical that anyone who follows Christ will suffer some kind of persecution while he spreads the gospel. A servant can not be greater than his master.

Dear Matthew and you feel that this statement is cool: : '...........if he as much as whimpers again, let him be posted post-haste to Sambisa forest, where the poor are in urgent need of miracles. "

The essence of suffering in christendom is not punitive. Mr. Abati comment is NOT christian at all. IT IS UNCHARITABLE AND WICKED!!!

Long suffering according to the Catholic dictionary means "Extraordinary patience under provocation or trials". Long suffering is the virtue of longanimity: "knowing how to wait", feeling certain during trials, that God’s moment will come when He will fully aid the suffering person.”In the Book of (Gal 5:22) is one of the fruits of the Holy's Spirit.

Saint Peter tried to prevent Jesus from going to Calvary (Matt 16:22), but ultimately learned to embrace suffering and ended up dying on a cross himself (John 21: 18). Saint Paul reminds us that we are children of God “provided that we share [Jesus’] sufferings, so as to share his glory” (Romans 8:17).

The Rv Father Mbaka's whining and tears was not to appeal for sympathy but an acceptance of the trials that Divine God see it fit for him to go through, even if it is against his will. If it means changing parish or even posting to Sambisa forest, the Lord's will will be done.

The road is narrow. He who wishes to travel it more easily must cast off all things and use the cross as his cane. In other words, he must be truly resolved to suffer willingly for the love of God in all things. -St. John of the Cross

Rv Father Mbaka. God will always give you enough strength to bear your sufferings, Amen
