Not Robert Moses • 8 years ago

He is a Masshole just like the mayor and police commissioner.

TacoKnight • 8 years ago

That's an insult to the word "allegation"...

Snarfyguy • 8 years ago

Wrong!

Gaspar Yanga • 8 years ago

You're right... he's already revealed a national bike lane initiative.

AlexWithAK • 8 years ago

No but he could steer national transportation, gun, and social policy. But counterpoint: he wouldn't win.

bggb • 8 years ago

counterpoint II:

his destruction of public services, public education, and promotion of racist policing would undo any other achievement.

Jamie • 8 years ago

Also his suspension of civil liberties during the 2004 RNC, and his overturning two voter referendums to run for a third term.

Robert Madoo • 8 years ago

Finally, a man who understands the people!

Some Asshole • 8 years ago

What the hell did we do to deserve Bloomberg!?

...

...

Oh, right. ... All that shit.

Not Dead Yet Don Corleone • 8 years ago

We get the government that we deserve.

Some Asshole • 8 years ago

Can't really argue with that.

AlexWithAK • 8 years ago

Hubris aside, I actually think he'd make a better president than mayor and would take him over pretty much any of the candidates currently in the race. However, he might just end up Ralph Nadering again us except worse because it would be Trump or Cruz or Rubio.

motaskah • 8 years ago

trump is the nader of cruz. cruz is the nader of trump. the republican party is sooo fucked.

Snarglebutt • 8 years ago

"trump is the nadir of cruz. cruz is the nadir of trump. the republican party is sooo fucked."

FIFY

skypilot • 8 years ago

I hate to see a good man like Nader continue to get smeared. (not that you are smearing him, but there's a lot of anger at him out there) Blame the imbeciles in Florida. I voted for Nader. In New Jersey. Where I knew Bush had no chance to beat Gore. It was on the voters to understand their state's situations.

bluecanary1 • 8 years ago

More Florida Democrats voted for Bush in 2000 than they did for Nader, but for some reason, that never comes up.

bluecanary1 • 8 years ago

He was a terrible, dreadful candidate. Even I, as a strong supporter, was watching the debates and saying, "dude, you are so fucking up right now."

Miles Bader • 8 years ago

The question is: would he split the democratic vote or the republican vote...?

It'd be an interesting race, that's for sure...

DJMoltisanti • 8 years ago

Both. I think he'd take a good chunk of Hillary's vote. On the GOP side, it almost goes without saying that Trump and Cruz are very polarizing -- Bloomberg would poach voters there should either of those two get the Republican nomination.

fbxl5 • 8 years ago

He'd be better than Hitler!

Now that's a campaign slogan with spunk..........I HATE SPUNK! https://i.gr-assets.com/ima...

YourCondoAssociation • 8 years ago

If I know one thing, it's that America can't get enough of having New York Jews telling them how to live their lives

TacoKnight • 8 years ago

I mean, they are popular daytime TV judges...

Sanders/Sheindlin 2016?

bggb • 8 years ago

Democrats embracing a guy who leans socialist, Republicans embracing an unapologetic racist and misogynist. And Bloomberg thinks: this country is begging for a centrist (as if Hillary isn't the most central of centrists)!!!

Truly Bloomberg has his finger on the pulse of this country.

Al O • 8 years ago

There is no more center. And in very large measure that's the fault of his friends and customers on Wall St.

LtWorf • 8 years ago

First thing I thought about when reading this.

Snarglebutt • 8 years ago

The first thing I thought was "NO! He can't skip out on Bloomberg before at least firing Mark Halperin!"

Hank Sam • 8 years ago

Fuck yeah! (heard in Tel Aviv)

hhb829 • 8 years ago

Wasn't he supposed to be running for mayor of London or something? Or did that go away?

Isonomist • 8 years ago

Technically, his running for president would constitute a philanthropic endeavor.

skypilot • 8 years ago

You are not allowed to opine. He knows what's best for you.

samthepoet • 8 years ago

I haven't drank Coke or Pepsi in years. If he becomes president I will have me a 32-oz cup of either one.

Maudite Balvenie • 8 years ago

Fuck this Neoliberal Fuck

Purple Pants • 8 years ago

So articulate.

Mordicai • 8 years ago

You're just mad she didn't go with "Bloomboringo," aren't you?

Purple Pants • 8 years ago

Albany is an ungovernable cesspool, and he knows it. Even Cuomo wants out.

samthepoet • 8 years ago

He can't buy off the legislature in Albany as he did with the city council so they can extend their stay in office. What I'like to see him do is spend his money so we can have a constitutional amendment that would limit the time in office for both congressmen and senators similar to how they limit the president. Most of these people die in office. One was in office before Obama was born and was in office when he became president.

bjmack • 8 years ago

I love the guy! Middle of the road and knows a bit about economics.

MARK ARMSTRONG • 8 years ago

Bloomberg "middle of the road"? LOL-

bjmack • 8 years ago

Mark, Compared to the Democratic and Republican front runners that is.

SpideySense • 8 years ago

Ooh goody, another self-important billionaire who believes rules don't apply to him running for the presidency so he can he can save us from ourselves.

Blackheywood • 8 years ago

Please run Bloomberg , he'd loose and it would be an embarrassment. He is the 1% if his puppet Hillary loses he thinks he'd win lmbao. Run Mike Run
