In 1984 , Buhari left governance to Tunde Idiagbong , during Abacha's he left the running PTF to the secretary. It has always been his style not to be in control. He reads speeches and acts contrary to the speech. A cabal is in charge coordinated by the chief off staff.

Sir. Trueman Blue • 7 years ago

God bless you. Though I like PMB as a person and he may be good in some ways, but in terms of good governance, he have nothing to offer.

The person behind every decision in Aso Rock is Buhari's nephew Mamman Daura and his Chief of Staff Abba Kyari.

Nigeria just enter 1 chance by allowing them to use Change slogan to brainwash them.

Just like the unelected Pius Anyim,Mustapha,Dansuki, etc. The problem has always been the vultures along the corridors of power.

This is basically the truth with Buhari, since Idiagbon. We'll be unlucky should the person be that bad as we have now, really bad.God help Nigeria

You probably were not born or to small to understand Buhari in 1984 and 1996. Alternatively you may be blinded by partisanship. I belong to no political party.

Right on point again. You really read my mind. They are rightly misled children

The beauty of the Internet is that you don't know the other person. I reiterate that you are deliberately lying, or simply repeating gossip.

Corruption is fighting back, even in the president's kitchen. Since when is it normal that appointees should be personally known to the First Lady? So if the president had appointed people personally know to her, she would have had no issue with it? Is that not the type of system we are trying to change? For her, ordinary citizens "sitting in their home" should not be called to serve the nation based on their competence, unless they are personally known to her or her husband. This is simply a cry of a woman who obviously wants to be in control and share the country among "people personally known to her and her husband". Her outburst is uncalled for. If she has issues with her husband's method of handling appointments, she should have discussed it with him at home. Not on BBC. At least Patience Jonathan supported her husband throughout. This is outright disloyalty in the highest order.

alex • 7 years ago

Truth hurts. Abeg make I hear word.

Ramos • 7 years ago

But he is telling the truth. Her comments are in bad taste and a complete betrayal of her marriage vows. She has no business expressing this kind of opinion publicly. Am no PMB supporter but I won't blame him if he decides to punish her.

Darlington • 7 years ago

Do you know how long this woman endured this? Do you know how many time she might have told him? Buhari is too obsolete to be our president.

Dave • 7 years ago

E dey hurt ooo

Good enough your is mallam which is elder brother to aboki.

Asuk • 7 years ago

The point she is making is that , there is a problem in the country, and she attributes it to wrong appointments. Can't you agree with her that almost getting to next budget nothing tangible has come out of this administration ?

"The whip used to beat the senior wife is hiding in the roof and reserved for the junior wife".
Bad government run by PDP was chased away, in like manner if Buhari did not change his style and embrace the sense of reasoning in his appointment etc, his government and APC as a party will be history come next election 2019. Nigerians are becoming wise.
Like mind should start coming together to form a mega party.

paparazzzzzy • 7 years ago

Most Nigerians are hypocrites and I feel like mentioning names based on
updates Ive read so far. You''re condemning PMB for his joke but he is a
good husband unlike some of you that had
promised to send your wives back to school during marriage proposal but
have'nt fulfilled your promises. I know some of you that sent your wives
packing because she cant cook or food was late and some of you are wife
beaters etc. Be objective for a change, he funded her to Masters level
and she's a fulltime business woman. I respect PMB more for this. Come
forward and deny that you had never made such statement. Go and mend
your clothes where they're torn, stop behaving like saints. He is human,
he joked to subtle the situation but you can never see anything good in
PMB. Even those who should have left their husbands over domestic
violence are now marriage counsellors. Some have even combined envy with
jealousy, I beg no vacancy for another wife. May Allah bless the union
forever. He who has not been faced with perilious situation should not
boast on his gallantry. You have said worse about your husbands, you
even leaked your husbands' secrets to your boyfriends. Even those ladies
who had never experienced marriage are not keeping mute. Instead of
them to beg the Almighty to grant them good husbands, let them end up in
the kitchen and bedroom with a master degree, five children and a
successful business. #istandwithPMB

Aisha must have endured . She seems to know the pains of the masses for her to have said so. Buhari has no ear . He act as his cabal said. He's just an arrow head. I heard the person ruling Nigeria is his chief of staff . Buhari loves him more than his wife. He was the one who nominated most of the ministers . Even the minister from enugu was a novice to politics but because he's a fried to the COS then buhari absorbed him . Now Nigeria is paying for it. What a ceremonial president .

Etiudo • 7 years ago

Those that hate PMB will have a field day but are you sure the wife is not asking for too much powers. PMB said there is no office of the First Lady and he is living to his words. He does not want what Mama piss did to GEJ to repeat. PMB has more political experience than the wife. Let her learn how to obey without complain after-all she has enjoyed enough for the past 27 years. Is it the pple appointed or she wants to select them for him? PMB knows where he is heading and is destined to make a name for himself. God will make it so. Pls do not wail more than the bereaved.

STANLEY • 7 years ago

According to Shari law, Aisha should be stoned with stone

Olowuagain Bamidele • 7 years ago

How are we sure some people are not using Aisha to get to her husband. Listen, every woman likes to be influential on their spouse especially when they are in power. obviously, PMB has relegated her influence. Many of her friends and families who might have felt her influence will earn them a lot are not getting anything.
Also, it happen in every political spheres, most of people who gets to do the dirty works, end up not getting their desires cos the major influence is money. someone spends billions of naira underground to fund a candidate, and the common persons that executes it cannot be of too much influence.
Again, most of people agitating Aisha with complains will obviously be from the north. I think Buhari has satisfied the north in his appointments. She obviously did not positions for her close allies.
this is just my view

Champ • 7 years ago

The Senate president, a staunch follower of PMB in the person of Junaid mohammed and the first lady can't be telling lies

Mechedon.J. Nonli • 7 years ago

To me this is a husband and wife affairs - as such we must not be in a haste to take side. We knows what usually happens when a woman feels short-change in decision making especially when she may have been denied access to a certain position and of course the highly exulted office of the First Lady. The woman ( Aisha Buhari) may be speaking for people like us who worked with his excellency but are still waiting to be part of the system we labored for since 10th of October 2002. But even at that, I will still advise that she is not supposed to be playing a script written by her husband adversaries because by so doing it will amount to washing her dirty linens in the public.

I will advise that Aisha should wait and allow her husband to complete his tenure until 2019 after which she may indicate interest and run for the office of the presidency.

oluyemi oluwajana • 7 years ago

Mrs Buhari Aisha, you just open your yanch for the blind critics of PMB government to watch.

Philip Oladele • 7 years ago

Most people miss the point. The woman's headache and pain is that unlike most of those in the past, e.g Mrs Yar'adua, Mrs Jonathan, she has not been able to dictate to her husband and take charge of "running and ruling" Nigeria. No official capacity for first lady. Buhari said it during campaigns.

segun goldsmith • 7 years ago

How could you be so unreasonable and posting comment as morbid as this? Do you lack the natural understanding that human specimen differs, as one man is different from other man just as one woman is bound to be antithesis of another. Aisha Buhari in case you do not know, is quite different from Mrs Yaradua and Mrs Jonathan. " Call me the wife of the President, not first Lady"..........Aisha Buhari 2015

Nigerians did not vote Aisha, is Buhari we voted for. Aisha is angry because she is not allowed access to power the way she expected.

Chinweike Anugwolu • 7 years ago

This govt is using every thing they have to keep us busy with unnecessary issues. This time they have called on Aisha to help them introduce cabinet reshuffle and 2019 presidential campaign. Majority of us who do not trust and support this govt anymore, can still come on board again for Aisha 's sake. Somebody just suggested she will be nice for a female president. Gullible people!!!!!!!

Frank Walter • 7 years ago

WHAT AISHA IS SAYING IS THAT THE PRESIDENT IS NOT USING HER OWN PEOPLE OR HIS PEOPLE LIKE WANT EVERYONE IS SAYING.

utolason • 7 years ago

Nigerian women! Rebellious lot but a lot more honest than their Nigerian men. Anyway, I hope in spite of her grievances, she is giving Buhari all his dues in the kitchen and bedroom.

Kitchen yes...

computer • 7 years ago

For the first time in this country we have a first lady who is sincere and mean well for Nigerians, she wanted her husband to deliver his promises and not betray those who fought so hard for him to get to the top but unfortunately Buhari is an illiterate so he has nothing to offer this country rather than pursue looters, as a lay ur bed so u will lay on it, Buhari remember that what u do 2day will determine how 2mrw will be and if u did not live to withness the vice versa remember u leave ppl behind

dohk k.habila • 7 years ago

For me,as you are entitled to your own opinion, nothing is as embarrassingly disheartening &cold as your spouse(wife, husband) belittling your ideas/opinions publicly, more so if it's the wife.Hence, for whatever reason(s),The First Lady should have conveyed a sensitive statement as this via a different means which would not be attributed to her directly.Having been with PMB for 27yrs is enough for her to have dissected her husband's best way of convincing him on every matters. She has to stand with PMB in the public on issues such as this even if she might diverge in the closest. No best person,no worst person in life!

alex • 7 years ago

Nawaooooo. Even buharis wife has joined our wailers club. May be his children will be next. Keep on coming we have room, knowledge of ones ignorance is the start of wisdom.

daviddee • 7 years ago

I have discovered as a preacher that the "best critic" any that will succeed in any assignment is his wife. Aisha love her husband and wants to use all means to ensure that he leaves an enviable legacy after four years of public service. How I wish PMB will see her action from the right perspective and do the needful. He can still redeem himself from the "high-jackers".

Edomme • 7 years ago

PMB just now in Germany responded to her interview and referred to Aisha as ' she belongs to my bedroom, my living room and my other room....".

daviddee • 7 years ago

His view but may be wrong.

Sir. Trueman Blue • 7 years ago

One thing I like and appreciate much in Northern Nigeria is their women of Character; Virtous; Valour; and high moral Intergrity just like the late Dr. Dora Akunyili. And few of their men who never allow politics of Sectionalism to blindfold them.

Thank you Madam Aisha for passing vote of No Confidence on your husband to prove a point to those who called us wailers for not supporting Buhari's janjaweed democracy of Sectionalism which I interpret as: Government of the North; the Fulanis and their cows.

But as for 2019 when dollar might be 1,500 Naira per 1 Dollar under your husband watch....you are indirectly talking about his reelection, forget it. Don't even dream of PMB coming back to Aso Rock back use we have many competent and vibrant people in North if power most remain there beyond 2019 if Nigerians decide.

zedanny • 7 years ago

Even for this woman to have come out publicly and say her mind, means she must have been fighting real war with his hubby in private.I can now see why someone like Tinubu is so cold about this our PMB.I will be very disappointed if PMB could not take us to half of promise land.Which way nigerians?
